Why the DEMOCRAT'S October surprise on "Trump's taxes" won't matter

Nothing matters to rightys. There is nothing that Trump can do to lose his base. He was shocked when he figured it out. But what it was saying about his followers just shot over their heads. They are totally suckered and conned. They will not abandon their spiritual leader.

Good luck getting anyone to pay attention to your crap NYT. After nearly four years of failed attempts to nail Trump for something, anything, nobody's paying that crap any attention now.

Keep telling yourself that.

do liberals think us conservatives give a shit about someone paying a low amount of taxes? that's the dream. it is everyones civic duty to pay as little tax as possible and starve the beast

How do you know they are fake tax returns, and I am sure NYT is far more responsible against your unproven allegation to allow itself to be compromised with fake information? Yet tRump has his butt lickers who apparently don't mind that tRump called all of his kool aid drinkers stupid, uneducated and easy to manipulate.
The NYT thought the Russian dossier was real.

NOTHINGBURGER

Claiming to have “obtained Donald Trump’s tax information extending over more than two decades,” the failing NYT admits its findings amount to problems most businesses deal with: “struggling properties, vast write-offs, an audit battle.”

The article also admits “the filings will leave many questions unanswered, many questioners unfulfilled,” and also kills off the idea that President Trump’s finances were somehow linked to Russia. The piece reads: “Nor do they reveal any previously unreported connections to Russia.”

A lawyer for the President said: “Over the past decade, President Trump has paid tens of millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government, including paying millions in personal taxes since announcing his candidacy in 2015.”

The failing New York Times failed to include the details of the returns in its reporting, admitting in its own article: “The Times declined to provide the records, in order to protect its sources.”

The "failing" New York Times is the most successful newspaper in the country.

You may fault an explanation but calling it an "admission" only suggests you don't know the meaning of the word.

The revelations will have no impact on Trump's locked in supporters, that goes without saying. But will Trump's avoidance of taxes, the huge deductions for his precious haircuts, and so forth, have no impact on more doubtful voters. No way of knowing yet

The "failing" New York Times is the most successful newspaper in the country.

Not in the only measure that counts, which is journalistic integrity. In that, they are failing.

Let's review: They have claimed to have private tax documents which could have only been obtained - if they were in fact actually obtained - by nefarious means.

They then, without benefit of a shred of evidence, proceeded to smear the president of the United States while admitting that their so-called "investigation" uncovered no illegal or even unethical information.

Can you show cause why they should not be compelled to reveal the origin of these alleged tax documents - assuming that they in fact exist, and are not the product of a journalistic fever dream?

The NYT got them months ago and had a staff of Accountants and lawyers go over them. Perhaps rightys do not know how litigious Trump is, but the Times does. They checked it out very carefully before writing the totally factual story. Trump is a sleeze.
They also show that a guy running for president did not feel the need to pay taxes for the country he was supposed to lead. How weasely is that?
The IRS does the taxes of the president and VP. For some reason, Trump forbid them from touching theirs. Can you guess why? No other president did that.

Where are the links to Putin you guys assured us were in his tax returns?

Remember that was why you wanted them in the first place?

If this is the best you guys have, then you are really really really fucked

They should either post the documents or be compelled to produce them - if they exist. At this point, I see no proof that they do.

Another coordinated hit by the leftist media in a desperate attempt to give senile Joe Biden, a boost at the ballot box?

I almost feel sorry for them

Don't. Think about this:

Sen. Lindsey Graham provided a slew of updates about the Senate Judiciary Committee’s investigation into Crossfire Hurricane on Sunday and teased “damning” revelations that he said will soon be made public.

“There’s a day of reckoning,” Graham said in an interview on Fox News “Sunday Morning Futures.”

On Thursday, Graham released a declassified FBI memo that said that the bureau opened a counterintelligence investigation in 2009 against the primary source for dossier Christopher Steele, a Russia analyst identified as Igor Danchenko.

The FBI investigated whether Danchenko was illegally working as a Russian agent.

Graham said that the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane team learned about the previous investigation in December 2016 but continued relying on Steele’s dossier for its investigation into the Trump campaign.

The FBI also failed to disclose the derogatory information in applications for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page, according to Graham.

An FBI and Justice Department team interviewed Danchenko in January 2017 regarding his work for Steele, a former British spy.

The revelation marks a major development in the investigation into the origins of the dossier, which was funded by the Clinton campaign and DNC.

Graham said Sunday that “there’s something else coming more damning than this, believe it or not.”

This tax fairy tale smacks of a preemptive strike by desperate DEMOCRATS who fear that something bad is about to happen in the Hunter-gate scandal, and it makes sense that they would try to muddy the waters by releasing the dud of a "bombshell" first.

I suspect they were going to save this for October, but the interim Senate report spooked them. The Obama holdovers at Justice must know what's about to go down, and they would have alerted the DNC.,
