From above: Yet America excels relative to Europe despite these enormous differences. While Europe has created 14 companies worth more than $10 billion in the past 50 years, with about $400 billion of market value in total, Americans have created nearly 250 such companies, worth $30 trillion.

America's economy has not been a hockey stick for 50 years. We have had many ups and downs but on the whole we are still much better off than Europe. So two things can be true; we are still much better off than Europe but that doesn't necessarily mean things are going well in the U.S. at the present time.

As the Dems said, Biden did a great job of fixing the economy and lowering inflation. Trump will happily fuck that up. History shows the Reds are bad for the economy, but great for the super-rich. The Dems always fix Repub messes. Biden fixed Trump's. Obama fixed Bush's . How badly will Trump explode it this time?

Things cost around 20% more than they did when Trump left office in 2021. Interest rates are way up. New house prices have skyrocketed since Trump left office. It would be first time homeowners can't afford to buy new homes.

Very true but Energy powers the US industrial engine.

My understanding is Russia is a country with the most national resources on the planet. The US is second. Looking at the state of our two economies that shows clearly just having those natural resources isn’t enough.

So while our energy does power our country it’s because of the ingenuity of America. Just having it alone isn’t sufficient. (Because Europe can say well of course America does better you have more natural resources.)
