Why they won't surrender

Vietnam was a group of determined locals fighting off a superpower.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Da Comrade.

I would not say Russia is a full global superpower anymore, but they are certainly not the Vietcong in this story.

For the record, I do not support the governmental policies of the Vietcong, but their military strategy sure did work. It took about 40 years.

I would say you are an old time Marxist severely conflicted by your love of Stalin, Lenin, and the USSR with the newspeak command of your Reich to hate Russia.

Repeat after me, "We have always been at war with EastAsia."

It's exactly the same fucking thing. We keep pumping money into this bullshit. Wheres the exit?

Vietnam was a proxy war between the USSR and the USA.

Ukraine is exactly the same thing. This time we are running the insurgents and they have the boots on the ground.

Boeing has utterly failed in building space vehicles. The other bloated defense contractors, including my Alma Mater, have likewise failed in transitioning to space. Space X and Blue Origin are just better at it.

The only way the MIC survives is by ensuring there is perpetual war. They can't compete in peacetime ventures.

I would not say exactly the same, but close enough. The Vietcong made it a point not to have an exit strategy. It was their country, and they were going to defend it. The Ukrainians are more or less the same way.

The Russians questioned the idea of keep pumping money into Vietnam, but it worked in the long run.

The NVA were just as much controlled and funded by your beloved USSR as Ukraine is by America. The Vietcong were just terrorists doing the bidding of Moscow.

Both are just a sandbox for the two superpowers to play with their toys in. And for the MIC to rake in sales, while Quid Pro Biden skims off the top of every dollar floating by.

Spot on

I am glad we are out, even at great cost. Less cost than if we had stayed. Glad Biden had the balls to pull out, some did not.

There is nothing in the post you quoted that makes this post make any sense at all, I posted about Ukraine, you posted how glad you are we are "out". We aren't. We are throwing our cash on this dumpster fire to try to smother it. I said why I think we have to continue until there is an end, and that I was glad we aren't spending American lives there.

Now one thing we can do rather than just throwing more US Dollars on the fire to try to smother it, we could get the Europeans to lend more of a hand in this, it is their continent at stake. It's possible they can come up with a solution like water or sand to smother the fire with rather than just more US Dollars.

Yes, Jews are allowed to be Americans.

Are you an American?

No one asked about Jews, they asked about you.

Your religion is between you and whatever god you disgrace.

The issue here is your hatred of the United States Constitution and your determination to subvert the Republic in favor of Marxist dictatorship.

Why the fuck would I think of care you're a jew? Oh right. You're a leftist. Identity politics.

Yes I am and I want to know where the exit is for us with dumping money into this conflict. You STILL haven't answered

Do you have any idea how much Europe is contributing?

Do you have any idea how much Europe is contributing?

I do. Do you think they should contribute, as a whole, more or less than the US? How much would you expect them to contribute to, say, our border crisis if someone decided to invade Mexico (not happening, but meh... basic premise here)?

How much are they contributing??

If we were in need, I am certain they would contribute a lot, they depend on a solid US. Depends on who invaded Mexico and what their intentions were in relation to us.

MAGA has been hollering for 20 months that Ukraine should just give up, surrender, and give large swaths of their country over to Putin.

Obama's war in Ukraine is going on 10 years. The opening of a new front is not the start date. Hot Mic Obama gave Putin the Crimea and the Ukrainians got blankest to fight Putin. :palm:

Yes I am and I want to know where the exit is for us with dumping money into this conflict.

We are not in the conflict, so do not need an exit. Russia is the ones who need an exit. We keep offering them exits. Everyone keeps offering them exits.

With any luck, trump will lose the election, and Putin will realize he has no hope. That would happen in 2025, when Western shell production surpasses Russia shell production meaning that the Ukrainians can have extended offensives. There are many ways it can end for Putiin, but it will end for Putin if we can get that together.

Because you hate Jews, Blacks and anyone left of your ideologically. Why do you ask?

US national interests to keep Putin from running willy-nilly around Europe.

John Bolton explained it well: https://thehill.com/policy/internat...ea-what-the-strategic-issues-were-in-ukraine/
Bolton: Trump had ‘no idea what the strategic issues were’ in Ukraine
Former national security adviser John Bolton on Sunday said former President Donald Trump had “no idea what the strategic issues were” in Ukraine while he was commander in chief, and alleged the former president has “an affinity for strongmen leaders” like Russian President Vladimir Putin....

...“He has some kind of an affinity for strong men leaders around the world and I think that’s what’s at stake here,” Bolton said. “It’s not based on any coherent policy, it’s based on the inner recesses of Donald Trump’s imagination.”...

...The former national security adviser, who previously said Putin was waiting for Trump to pull out of the security alliance NATO if the Republican won reelection, also said his former boss lacked a strategy in Ukraine, which was fighting a Russian-backed separatist revolt for years before the 2022 invasion.

Instead, Trump was focused on digging up dirt on President Biden’s son, Hunter, as well as on a Democratic National Convention (DNC) server purported to be used against him in the 2016 election, Bolton said.

“Trump had no idea what the strategic issues were with respect to Ukraine. We tried to talk to him about it but all he cared about was trying to find that DNC server Hillary Clinton used in 2016 and he wanted to know where Hunter Biden was getting his income from somewhere inside Ukraine,” Bolton said.

“And that focus — which is very typical of Trump — is, ‘What is my political stake here,’ not the geopolitical threats to Europe,” Bolton added.

Trump was later impeached, mostly along party lines, for threatening to withhold aid from Ukraine unless the country gave him information on Hunter Biden.

During the Russian invasion in Ukraine, Trump has still voiced his opinion and sparked debate and controversy. After Putin sent military units into the nation ahead of the large-scale invasion, Trump called the Russian leader “smart” and “pretty savvy,” which drew widespread condemnation.

The former president later changed tune and said the Russian invasion amounted to a “holocaust.”

Bolton said that while he was in office, Trump undermined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and “didn’t care much about him,” even as advisers tried to keep national security in check...

We are throwing our cash on this dumpster fire to try to smother it.

In fairness, kind of the reverse. We want the dumpster fire of the Russian invasion of Ukraine to be worse. We want to punish the Russians for invading Ukraine. We are sending weapons not to suppress the resistance, but to make it more lethal.

The Ukrainians want to fight so their children can survive. We want both that their children survive, but also it is very nice we do not have to do the fighting. Better yet, the Europeans are willing to pay the biggest share of the expenses. A lot of the weapons we are sending would have to be trashed anyway, so really do not cost us as much as the headline price. It is convincing everyone to arm up... FINALLY!!!

It is not cheap, but it is nowhere near as bad as it could be.
