Unless, of course, you are a childless cat lady who prefers to remain that way. I have doubts about Vance's sanity. I also think that one of his first items on his agenda, if Cheeto Jesus doesn't get there first, is to pass a national abortion ban. Screw those states' rights.

trump's drive to return to the WH is fueled by the way he monetizes the office via a variety of schemes/scams.
He'll be in office long enough to quell all Federal charges against him, let out any Jan 6 terrorists convicted on Federal charges, and then set up a recurring set of direct payments to himself from the taxpayer.
Then he's done, and it will be president Vance.
Before that, he'll declassify myriad documents and sell them to the highest bidder.

Vance might be a jerk and a phony. But I have no doubt a Yale Law student graduate is reasonably intelligent, and that he is mentally stable.
I have to really lower my expectations at this point about a reasonable best-case scenario in the next two years.

He might be what a court appointed psychologist would deem to be "mentally stable" as part of a competency assessment, but he's shown himself to be like trump in his willingness to say anything it takes to ingratiate himself to whichever group he's trying to cozy up to or curry favor with.
That's not anything close to a desirable quality in a President.

I don't agree with him on anything.
The question I am asking is monochromatic: do you want Trump or Vance in the oval office, speaking to our Allies, listening to intelligence briefings, representing America on the world stage?
I always said I would rather have had Pence representing America than the mentally unstable and barely literate Trump.
Unless Democats win the House (unlikely), there aren't any pleasant choices in the next two years, and I am just adjusting my expectations downward.
I'm not sure vance would be an improvement over trump, and might very well be even more dangerous.
At least trump is buffoonish enough to openly talk and act like a buffoon so we can all see him for what he is and more or less know what we're getting.
But vance could represent a much more well concealed and insidious evil.
More like Putin.
We are in for some ugly times.
Elon Musk has stated there will be a lot of suffering before it gets better.
