It cost 250 million to make.
Right… I’m talking $2,000,000.00 in profit… That already subtracts the cost. But you knew that already. Almost doubled the cost in 6 months and will bring in money for decades.

It should have made far more than that.
This profit doesn't even cover Disney's last flop of Strange World however so they are still down.

It's you that needs one. One success out of their entire business model doesn't result in overall success. Disney's stock has fallen over 50% in value since 2021. The Disney Channel is closing down because nobody's willing to pay to watch it. Their other segments aren't cranking out much in the way of winners. As the company turns Left, their sales and worth plummet.
But the mermaid film that you complain is harming your stock actually made money, while things you don’t whine about are dragging Disney’s bottom line.
So whine about “Strange World” not the moneymaker black Mermaid movie.

There is no logic that would make you 'keep a stock' simply because 'you've been buying it', for any period of time, unless your goal is losses or under performance going forward.
But i have no desire to help you be smarter. I just enjoy seeing your level of dumb impacts you in other areas.

Woke, in terms of Movies and TV just means 'catering to the face of the buying audience as it changes'.
There was nothing more 'woke' than the prior 100+ years of Hollywood movies and Tv shows catering to the mostly white male decision makers and buyers.
White men pushed in to play PoC roles, not just in fiction but real life people. White men playing womens roles. White saviours pushed in to 'save' other cultures. white males who are very average getting super hot hollywood wives and gf's. And on and on.
It was the peek of Woke Culture done specifically to cater directly to the main buying audience, white males.
As the face of the buyer has changed (PoC and Women) those same white males are now suffering depression and crying crocodile tears as they NOTICE the pandering done to others but are still blind to the majority of it done to them. So they cry demanding it be 'ALL ABOUT ME.... ME... ME... ME'. They want to know 'why are you catering to OTHERS now? Just cater to ME'.
Their tears are delicious.
