I never even was aware of the word until deplorables became obsessed with it. No liberal I am aware of on this board uses it.

On this board, the word wouldn't even be used except for you and your deplorable buddies.

That makes it your word.

Why would you even use it if PC terms bother you? Liberals here are not using it.

This board is full of baby boomers and if you’re a baby boomer and only hang out with fellow baby boomers and don’t follow social media it's more understandable not having heard the term woke or having your friends use it.

The New York Times and NPR have used the term plenty. Hell LeBron James, one of the most famous people on the planet and a big activist, used the term today in his tweet. If you’ve never heard someone use the term woke you are not paying attention.

I had to look it up to find out what it meant. I’m in agreement with you. I’ve never heard a liberal use the term referring to themselves. Just another parroted RW term

Those of us who are old enough were "woke" in the 1960s during the Civil Rights movement. A common mistake of the young is to assume they invented everything and it's never been done before. Yes, even us Boomers in the '60s.

First time I heard it was after that scumbag Michael brown assumed room temperature. BLM used it to "awaken" blacks. To what I have no idea, but what it seems to have devolved into is black people were slaves a few centuries ago, and evidently it is time to fight another civil war to address those issues(which no longer exist, BTW). Those people would have been "awake" a lot sooner if they had payed attention in junior high school history class
