Woodward's revelations raise disturbing questions about Trump

Remember how he said he was going to self-finance his campaign?

And he was going to release his taxes?

And get Mexico to pay for the wall?

And produce a health care plan everybody would love?

And he was going to completely pay off the debt!

Heads are spinning, they are trying so hard to look the other way.

The problem for Republicans is every direction they look there is another Trump lie they have to give him another free pass on.

A Trump official just wrote an opinion piece for the NYT. He backed up the Woodward book clearly. Trump is a bomb in the Whitehouse. He is unqualified for the job and I hope we have learned a valuable lesson. We need professionals in the government. Experience and intelligence matters. Trump has neither and it shows.

See, I took that anonymous piece to be a test of the "No True Scotsman" defense all Conservatives will try to use once Trump is gone. There should be no quarter given to them. No mercy. No forgiveness. Trump is what Conservatives wanted and they don't oppose any of his policies, just his tone. No Conservative opposed the Russia Tax Cut. No Conservative opposed Gorsuch. No Conservatives really opposed the family separation policy. Those who said they did (like Navarro) had previously opposed all bipartisan efforts during Obama to craft a solution.

Conservatives act in bad faith, and that NYT piece is peak bad faith.

Instead of passively trolling anonymously in the NYT, come out as a visible opponent of Trump. Otherwise, it's disingenuous.

Once again you get everything all wrong; Woodward himself destroys the credibility of the book by writing pure lies that are disputed by three of the very people he quoted in the book. Anyone with a brain can understand that. I get why you still can't. You would need a brain.

The writer says they are working from the inside to keep Trump from burning the place down. There are many reporters who have been told the same thing. It is anonymous because trump will fuck you up if you cross him.

Earlier today I asked you to produce a single person who has disputed its credibility. You still haven't produced anything. All you can do is lie.

I don't buy it.

Anyone who chose to work for Trump did so with the knowledge that this is what it would be.

I don't see them doing anything to stop him from doing what he's done. And when it comes down to it, what do they really oppose from Trump? Just his tone. None of them opposed his Russia Tax Cut, his family separations, Gorsuch, calling Nazis "very fine people", etc. They're trying to get sympathy for themselves. Fuck them. You had to be a liar to work for Trump, so why would they be telling the truth about any of this?

They're just trying to cover their asses so they have a future in the post-Trump world.

I don't think we should give them that accommodation. They belong in the trash because they're garbage people.
