Worker Productivity Jumps Sharply

ladyt I'm going with you only had one econ class because your nearly clueless on economics. When the economy grows good and productivity is up workers are more likely to get future raises.

1) Safety - I'm not denying that a process improvement designed safety in mind can't improve productivity. My point is that safety is not a measure of productivity. It may or may not be a by product of a process change that increases productivity.

And for the rest you keep reiterating my point that increased productivity isn't necessarily good for everyone. For Topper to come on here cheerleading like the masses and laborers should be thrilled about it is ridiculous. It can mean very different things for different people.

Oh, well then shut up already... we apparently agree on something. I am so totally not used to that I felt compelled to continue on. My fault.

Again, that's not the case for everyone. I've been around offices where productivity is up. A few people have been laid off, the same work is being done, the same pay is being given and the remaining staff is miserable. Again, productivity increase ARE NOT ALWAYS GOOD for EVERYONE.

You know how you know when you have tops on the ropes? When he starts talking about your education level.

:pke:

Apology accepted. My revenge:

Cypress said:
As you can see here, median family income has flatlined or declined in the bush era, whereas it rose sharply in the 1990s.

Another interesting fact here. While increasing wages used to track increasing productivity in the 1990s, they are diverging now. Companies are more productive and profitable than ever, but median wages have flatlined in the Bush era.

I temporarily disabled your Ignore Cypress function :tongout:

Translation: Getting owned was getting embarrassing.
Please, SF brought up the fact that if you use the information in a specific way you could "show" that median income had flatlined. That isn't "owned" it's simply repetition.

Ladyt keep looking out for little guy, I don't dissagree with what you said.
I'm just saying and most things I say are from an economics or investor class perspective.
To which no one ever says improved productivity is bad.
Yes your tiny finance office shaving jobs and spreading the work will reduce moral. agreed.

No except Top really got owned in this thread. I was referring to all the other cyber skewerings (:readit:) that Cypress has unleashed on SF.

Translation of translation: "I have looked at the post numerous times and cannot figure out why Cypress is wrong, so I will pretend he is right instead. Worst case scenario I can come back later and just tell SF that I was trying to piss him off"

you never are within light years of owning me on economics lady t
now go make a subprime mortgage.

the lady who whined about $300 lifted under her nose and the same one who squeked in on a mortg to barely get a housed owned topspin. bahhahahh

Translation: LadyT you were right. I should have specified that investors and owners are the ones that undoubtedly benefit from this type of news and that the benefits are not necessarily universal to everyone.

You must truly enjoy jerking my chain. Not once has that tool "owned" me in a conversation on economics. He simply cherry picks data, mixes it up with other cherry picked data, jumps to a false conclusion and because he linked you to his cherry picked data you parrots get so twisted around you simply chirp "Cypress was right". Whatever. take a look at what you posted of his again.

See where the errors are.

LOL what on earth are you talking about. Yes. I had $300 stolen but what is this about a subprime loan? LMAO. Please. Indulge me. I'm interested in hearing your assumptions.

since you know so little about economics and have a finance degree
I figure you work for some third rate finance company

Bingo. And that's what I've always said.
