Yankees vs the Phillies. Couldn't be any worse. I guess I will pull for the Yankees. Philly fans suck and don't deserve to win anything.

Series lead goes to the Phillies, they currently lead 1-0... Taking one from the Yanks in their stadium. Home advantage is now Phillies'

Maybe, I jinxed the Yanks. I back winning teams (outside of college sports) only a little more often than I back winning candidates. Once (Bucs SB) for the first, none for the second.

Cliff Lee looked fantastic tonight. Utley showed what a great player he is too.

I don't have any problem with the Philly players, coaches etc. I just have a general disgust for Philly fans. The way they booed Jimmy Rollins is telling. He's a great player. He has a bad streak and they all start to turn on him. Then he tells the truth about how much they suck and it goes crazy.

Baseball, maybe more than any other sport, is a game of hot and cold streaks. If you don't know that then you have no business calling yourself a fan.

It's similar with the Yanks. No real problems with the players or coaches, but the front office... Really, it's more about the fact that they are the poster child for what is wrong with the game.

Jeter is the man. A-Rod is a great player too. Posada might be one of the best all around catchers ever, Tex is great and a very smart player, starting rotation blah, blah blah, on and on I could go with the accolades. Also, I really like Nick Swisher after following him out in Oakland. He messes up a bit, but you can tell he has a child like love for the game.

Remember Philly fans boo'd Santa Claus. They boo'd Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt. Booing in Philly is like a badge of honor. F'd up East Coast mentality.

I agree with this 100%.

As for the booing, it just means the fans are passionate and have a lot of heart.

If I was an NL fan I think philies would be up there as one of my favorite teams, behind cubs and dodgers

Cubs? Bah, those fans just love to complain. If their team won actually they'd be lost.

The English Premier League has many foreign players but there are no plans to rename it to the World Premier League.
