Jones, the founder and CEO of Public Religion Research Institute, the note’s “apocalyptic ring” stems from the anxiety, fear, and anger of some conservative white Christians who he says have, in the space of a decade, moved from the mainstream to the minority in America. In a conversation Wednesday evening at Harvard Divinity School with journalist and political analyst E.J. Dionne, Jones laid out the data behind his claims, collected in his recent book “The End of White Christian America.”

You know what I have discovered about the rightwing contingent? A lot of them will flagrantly lie about a poster, without the slightest hesitation or sense of conscience. If they lie with impunity in real life the way they do on keyboards, heaven help their employers, their families, their neighbors!!

I know, right? On the surface I'm kind of the ideal conservative woman.... I have kids, many kids. I fish, forage, camp out, and do other outdoorsy stuff. I garden and preserve our foods. I even have some guns and know how to shoot them. I think religion's great as long as you keep it to yourself like I do with my own.

I think liberty's also great... including the right to have control over your own body and its amazing reproductive processes. Hey, and for men too! Guys, you don't like abortion? Then don't have unprotected sex with a woman who you haven't discussed having a family with. Stop acting like your dick controls you, and start using it responsibly. Women, same shit goes for you, girlfriends. Yeah, we all know what it's like when the smokin hot woman meets the hot guy.... but slow down for a bit and think about what will happen if you're not protected.

I do not think your lifestyle and insights are either liberal or conservative....it all seems pretty normal and sensible to me!

I have always thought camping, fishing, hunting was an area were people of all political stripes could manage to come to reasonable consensus on conservation of natural resources and environmental protection. Unfortunately, there are a lot of corporate profiteers for whom conservation is a burden to their bottom line, and corporations mostly hold sway over - are the puppet masters - of the right wing.

I actually kind of like guns, and have shot a lot of different kinds of guns over the years. I particularly like vintage rifles, and vintage pistols. However, I never have really felt a need for a penis extender like an AR-15 or similar military style knockoff.

I will say that since I have been seeing a lot of conservatives expressing admiration for Trump adventures with porn actresses, playboy bunnies....and their general sentiment of veneration for his heathen, philandering, cheating, and unfaithful lifestyle....I have to say....it really seems like I am actually pretty conventional and traditional in comparison to the lifestyles rightwingers admire!

Liberals always deny saying things that expose them like when they make racist statements for instance, they always deny making them also.

Liberals are always so high and mighty and self righteous - whatever they say or do is justified in their sick warped minds because they believe they are doing good work against their enemies so it's all justified.

You must be hallucinating again. In what way do you think I 1) argued against motherhood, and 2) didn't raise my own kids?

How many of those Trumpian wealthy ppl do you think raise their own kids, btw? Most of them have nannies/au pairs. And many of their kids (like Trump) are sent off to boarding schools.
