Wow...

I just want to repeat that for anyone who might just be joining the board:

"It's always about skin color if it's against liberal ideals."

Now, for anyone who just needs that extra dose of stupidity this morning:

"It's ALWAYS about skin color if it's against liberal ideals."

Well done.

a bit of hyperbole...but by and large it is true

and you know it, the only whine you had was my hyperbole....

and tff how you're now "greeting" the new folks of the board? need a life onceler?

It's not "by & large" true. It's stupid.

National Public Radio, Inc. is a not for profit corporation. It is not a government entity. It's more akin to a private university that receives federal funding than a state-owned school that receives private funding.

It's more akin to a private entity today than yesterday. Because now, there will be a complete federal defunding of NPR, as should have been the case years ago. No more tax dollars to this left-wing propaganda outlet which stifles free speech and debate! NOT ONE MORE RED CENT!

Why do you pinheaded fucktards always have to run to the race card? There is NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY SIMILAR in comparing your outrageous comment to what Williams said. First of all, he was talking about boarding an airplane, a commercial airline, like the one Muslims used on 9/11 to fly into the WTC buildings and the Pentagon. He didn't say they made him uncomfortable to be in close proximity of Muslims. Had he said THAT, the whole nation would be appalled at his comments, not just NPR and you few fucking idiots.

What he said was an honest sentiment which is shared by millions of others in this country, and he went on to say, that we must find a way to cope with those fears and overcome our tendencies to let that fear cause us to be bigoted and prejudiced. It's really almost like what Shirley Sherrod said about racism. There wasn't a damn thing wrong or bigoted in what he said, and I can't believe the majority of those defending the man, are those who vehemently disagree with his political views the most! That really amazes me!

The only reason you don't think the comments are similar is because they expose a truth about the sentiment.

On some level, you're aware of it, which is why you avoided the Japanese internment discussion after you brought up the idea of saying the Japanese attacked us....

It was, as a public figure you have to be aware! but I feel he should have been hand slapped and not fired, but he got a better job, lots of money, it has a happy ending!
I have a sneaky feeling there's more going on here then just this one comment by Williams. I can imagine no real news agencies would be thrilled about having one of their independent reporters also on the payroll of a propaganda organization like Faux News.

Ohhhhh nooooo not the red!!!!! Now I am really paying attention! or not
lol....I tried and tried to get Darla to lose her temper but failed miserably....
gotta hand it to her.....shes a cool customer....shes earned my respect :good4u:

Thanks :)

So if heard Megyn correctly the fact that they, NPR, allowed numerous opinion comments from Williams' during his appearences at FOX that they have basically waived their contractural standing with regrads to their reason for firing him?
Well, that and their track record of allowing such from others as well.

I was surprised, no shocked to find out he was a Fox contributor, can you tell I don't watch them!!!

why can't you answer my question? its pretty straight foward....when you answer it, you'll see why your comment is incorrect

Because your question is irrelevant. Just tell why you believe my comment is incorrect and I will address it.

I see Juan's statement as offensive because he admits to a momentary lapse of his ideals to treat everyone fairly. It's perfectly reasonable to condemn this man for the few moments his mind wanders from the progressive vision of utopia. We must be prepared to take action agaisnt anyone who admits to thoughts we ourselves would not be proud to have. The future of tolerance depends on a strict definition of approved thought.
