Y’all know Bad Bunny is an American, right?

Listen, I'm not a hater of immigrants, as a matter of record, my entire community is a mixture of Muslims, Latino's and Asians. I got the most peaceful street in my area and I'm happy about it. I'm aware of the controversy surrounding BB, but one must note, Kendrick came out from the start of his halftime criticizing Trump and said.... The revolution is about to be televised. You just picked the wrong guy", that was a direct dig at Trump and he got a pass. My personal belief is that this country has got Spanish fatigue and they tired of press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish....just sayin But I agree with your comments also...

Good for Kendrick. I'm surprised there wasn't a massive MAGAT meltdown over that. Maybe it didn't register because they were busy boycotting the NFL over the #Take-a-Knee non-controversy-unless-you're-a-fucking-bigot thing. lol

It's kind of amusing here to see signs in Lowe's in both English and Spanish. We have all of two Mexican restaurants and probably less than 100 Hispanic residents in town. Canada is only 100 miles away but nothing is in French One of my girls lives in Vermont within a 45 min. drive to the Canadian border. No French there, either.

We used to live in a far more diverse area. Always loved hearing people speaking in their native languages when we were out and about. That seems to enrage rightwingers for some reason. I see it as an illustration of what a wonderful, welcoming country America is. My own grandmother didn't speak English until she was in grade school; they came here from Switzerland.

My grandparents spoke in French when they didn’t want their children to understand. I thought it sad they didn’t teach their children French, but they wanted them to be immersed in American culture. So sad.

Signs in Lowe's in both English and Spanish? Guess it's Home Depot from now on...

What's wrong with promoting American culture in America?

MAGAts keep proving they are morons. Melania and most of the Trump kids are bi- or multi-lingual. Only the Dementia Don is monolingual just like his adoring morons. The faster MAGAts die off due to disease, "suicide" or misadventure, the better for America. :flagsal:

What is it like in Europe? Press 1 for English, 2 for French, 3 for German, 4 for Spanish, 5 for Italian, etc, etc?

Most problems can be handled online where language isn't a problem. Examples: banking, purchases and research.

Good plan, but I'd be surprised if the parents didn't pick up on French over time. Nowadays, with the Internet, it'd be a lot easier.

Example:
Voulez vous fuque?

Back in the day it was Berlitz cassette tapes and records. :)

Indeed.

The entire world is trying to come to America due to our culture and economic opportunities.

They are not flocking to Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea.

The far left loons are trying to bring Venezuela and Cuba to NYC.

Iran has been quiet since the B-2’s visited.

What is American culture?

This must be you?

Nah, this is more like you

Of course. You should always be sure to inconvenience yourself in order to show bigotry. But you're not a racist, so you say. lol

Lowe's has had bilingual signs for at least a couple of decades, all across the country. You never noticed that? They may have begun after Clinton signed the NAFTA agreement. Long time to not notice something to be outraged about.

Ditto for my g-ma and the aunties and uncles. They gossiped in French. Mom took French in h.s. so she could tell what they were talking about but then of course they quit doing it. lol

No inconvenience. Just a few miles further. :)

Not here in God's country. If's it's just begun here, I haven't noticed. And don't want to...
