An underregulated private sector will engage in activities that are not in the best interest of the community.
This is what the right calls "freedom."
If they wish to live in a civilized society, however, they can simply not be afforded that level of freedom.
If they further resist, more Draconian restrictions on their freedom is what comes next.
Prison comes to mind.
Should we eliminate private property and have the state own all housing to avoid this? Or prevent anyone from owning more than a single property?
Brainstorm as you wish.
Everything's on the table.
You're the one saying these entrepreneurs should be thrown in prison. I was just curious what you had in mind for property rights.
In that case, keep renting Guille. That would be your Smart Move!![]()
Ok ...explain the City of Detroit to me Mr. "real estate holds its value."
(sigh) Well, one of the First Rules is, if you see Burglar Bars on doors and windows, that's NOT the place to buy!
Hey Poopeye, how much brains does it take to tell the world that you're a sea captain with a fleet of ship?????????????
But real estate holds it's value Jack, I just read that. Guess who posted that?
If you bought a house on the westside of Detroit in the mid 1980's did it hold it's value? And btw I'm not just talking about the city, the suburbs ebb and flow too and some of those suburbs aren't holding their value either.
I’m not exactly sure what’s wrong with that. Please explain.
You sure are thick aren't you.
Guille, I want you to remember the 3 Rules of Real Estate: Location, Location, and Location.
(sigh) Well, one of the First Rules is, if you see Burglar Bars on doors and windows, that's NOT the place to buy!
The other rule of real estate is that time = money. Property gets more valuable, not less.
I see. You can’t explain.
Guille, I want you to remember the 3 Rules of Real Estate: Location, Location, and Location.
Oh really...so when you said real estate holds its value you were not being entirely truthful, there are conditions.
Good to know.
