In some neighborhoods and locations they're common sense. I went on one service call a couple of years ago to a large apartment complex. I was on one side doing repairs on a service panel and I had brought a firearm. On the other side of it, two other service technicians saw their truck being robbed, tried to stop the thieves, and both ended up shot, one died. I'd say my being 'strapped' was a good choice at that complex.I do not carry a gun. Guns are for cowards.
You can look it up. I call it "Los Crapbags" (Los Compadres). It's on 35th Ave and Dunlap in Phoenix AZ. I was on the side by the carwash. I'm telling you this so you can't claim I'm making some shit up. I was parked in the covered parking just north of that carwash at the time. I was in slot A18 working on the panel you can see on the street view. I was repairing the bus bars for the second meter on the bottom of that panel on the left side.
