It's pretty mixed for me - but I'm more of a centrist.
Some areas of the country are WAY too left. A state like NY is interesting - NYC is liberal, but large swaths upstate are much more conservative. Same w/ PA and Philly.
But some states are definitely TOO red. I look at Alabama's frozen embryo ruling, and know there is no way I could ever live there, or even travel there. It's like they're in the dark ages.
Many states are that way. Phoenix dominates Arizona like NYC dominates New York. Most of the state is red and conservative, the notable exception is Tucson, a bastion of Lefitst Progressivism where the traffic sucks, the roads and infrastructure are falling apart but they have a light rail system that goes nowhere that nobody uses...
