Many states are that way. Phoenix dominates Arizona like NYC dominates New York. Most of the state is red and conservative, the notable exception is Tucson, a bastion of Lefitst Progressivism where the traffic sucks, the roads and infrastructure are falling apart but they have a light rail system that goes nowhere that nobody uses...

No comparison , Maga's are stupid compared to the general democrat. Not to complicated to find out why , educations systems in this country are terrible in red states compared with blue states. Think about it ,how else could you get people to vote for the MAGA's unless you keep them as dumb as bricks.

No, I'm mostly limited to the courses I took at Eastfield Jr. College, and a few courses I took at SMU, and stacks and stacks of certificates I have from attending Tech Trade schools to acquire all of my IT and Data Communications certifications required by my career.

I actually taught a course at El Centro Jr. College here in Dallas in Data Processing Math for a few semesters as a part-time effort. But that was a very elementary introduction into IT, programming, and Data Communications. And trust me, I am no math guy, as I am limited to High School algebra that I leaned at Eastfield College because I skipped that course when I was in High School, and had to catch up with it in college.

But yes, Texas and Ohio have a lot of bragging rights when it comes to their Higher Education offerings.

So, I have a slight background in teaching adults, but I know that is much different than teaching children.

You have quite the resume thank you for sharing it and congratulations I want sounds to be a really profitable and enjoyable career.. if they hired you to teach the course even if it was elementary they must have been impressed with your knowledge...teaching is an amazing experience... nothing like it... and it's something that you can continue to do for life..in one way or another...

The man that got me hired was one of my bosses when I was consulting with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, when we had to move their data center back from H Ross Perot Services. My Boss was already on the faculty at El Centro college and their DP Department was mushrooming back in the early 80's.

He was the one who was impressed with the work I was doing at Blue Cross & Blue shield in training and developing the new employees to become our Data Communications division there. My Boss also taught classes at El Centro, but he was teaching ALC programming. My course was a prereq to his course in their DP Department.

So sometimes- it's not all about what you know- But who you know. :laugh:

I lived in the Bit and Byte world of Binary states and hexadecimal for my entire career, so I can teach DP math in my sleep!

This is about K-12 combined public and private school rankings.

However both of our states rate a lot higher than that in Higher Education rankings!

But both Ohio and Texas have a long way to go in K-12 education, as our drop-out rates are horrible.

We are amongst the worst in that category- both Ohio and Texas!

I have a cousin who had lived in Texas his whole life in the DFW area. Last year, he moved to California for a better paying job.
