You have to be a idiot to live in a red state.

It's pretty mixed for me - but I'm more of a centrist.

Some areas of the country are WAY too left. A state like NY is interesting - NYC is liberal, but large swaths upstate are much more conservative. Same w/ PA and Philly.

But some states are definitely TOO red. I look at Alabama's frozen embryo ruling, and know there is no way I could ever live there, or even travel there. It's like they're in the dark ages.

Many states are that way. Phoenix dominates Arizona like NYC dominates New York. Most of the state is red and conservative, the notable exception is Tucson, a bastion of Lefitst Progressivism where the traffic sucks, the roads and infrastructure are falling apart but they have a light rail system that goes nowhere that nobody uses...

You can say the same for just about every major city in the country. That does not change the fact that generally the liberal is far more educated than the rightwinger.
No comparison , Maga's are stupid compared to the general democrat. Not to complicated to find out why , educations systems in this country are terrible in red states compared with blue states. Think about it ,how else could you get people to vote for the MAGA's unless you keep them as dumb as bricks.

[h=2]Sounds like a lot of dumb people in blue areas, also.

As I mentioned our local schools are stellar, but even they have work to do...they've been distracted, and sometimes forget that it's all about the kids...and the teachers...Things are turning around...
Remember...it's all about getting the parents and the community involved and interested and respectful of a great education for their children...We can't do it without them...
I wish that everyone could spend a few days teaching...they'd better understand what's going on...what's necessary and what is a complete waste of time and money...
And they would totally have more respect for what teachers do every day...and how hard they work..
(We do have great universities and colleges...I'm very proud to be a Buckeye alum...c/o '77...;) If you're a Texas alum, I'm sure you feel the same...my uncle taught geology at Texas Tech years ago...that's the only actual Texas connection I've ever had...he loved teaching there...)

No, I'm mostly limited to the courses I took at Eastfield Jr. College, and a few courses I took at SMU, and stacks and stacks of certificates I have from attending Tech Trade schools to acquire all of my IT and Data Communications certifications required by my career.

I actually taught a course at El Centro Jr. College here in Dallas in Data Processing Math for a few semesters as a part-time effort. But that was a very elementary introduction into IT, programming, and Data Communications. And trust me, I am no math guy, as I am limited to High School algebra that I leaned at Eastfield College because I skipped that course when I was in High School, and had to catch up with it in college.

But yes, Texas and Ohio have a lot of bragging rights when it comes to their Higher Education offerings.

So, I have a slight background in teaching adults, but I know that is much different than teaching children.

You have quite the resume thank you for sharing it and congratulations I want sounds to be a really profitable and enjoyable career.. if they hired you to teach the course even if it was elementary they must have been impressed with your knowledge...teaching is an amazing experience... nothing like it... and it's something that you can continue to do for life..in one way or another...

The man that got me hired was one of my bosses when I was consulting with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, when we had to move their data center back from H Ross Perot Services. My Boss was already on the faculty at El Centro college and their DP Department was mushrooming back in the early 80's.

He was the one who was impressed with the work I was doing at Blue Cross & Blue shield in training and developing the new employees to become our Data Communications division there. My Boss also taught classes at El Centro, but he was teaching ALC programming. My course was a prereq to his course in their DP Department.

So sometimes- it's not all about what you know- But who you know.

I lived in the Bit and Byte world of Binary states and hexadecimal for my entire career, so I can teach DP math in my sleep!

Yet, that is where the population is moving including younger groups.

8/10 of the highest crime states were the same states as when they were controlled by Democrats. So, political party obviously does not account for crime.

13 of the most dangerous states for crime per capita are red.

I think Ohio is ranked 34 out of 50 states.

Which is better than the state I live in, Texas which ranks way down there at 41 out of 50!

This is about K-12 combined public and private school rankings.

However both of our states rate a lot higher than that in Higher Education rankings!

But both Ohio and Texas have a long way to go in K-12 education, as our drop-out rates are horrible.

We are amongst the worst in that category- both Ohio and Texas!

I'm from Maryland, solid blue and always at the very top or damn close.:)

The Un-magnificent seven: America's most dangerous cities are all run by Democrats

According to Numbeo's latest crime index, of the world's 50 most dangerous cities, seven are located in the US -- and every one of them is run by a Democrat. The un-magnificent seven include Detroit, Albuquerque, Oakland, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Houston, Texas.

The seven cities listed are more dangerous than San Salvador, the notoriously violent capital of El Salvador.

all the worst places to live are in red states. Most bigots , most white supremacist , most hate , worst education, worst standard of living, worst place to raise a family , most dangerous place to live, most rapes most homicides , most homicides by gun, most crime across the board ,they are the top welfare states and by far get way more money from the fed then they pay in , by the way being paid by blue states. Hell without blue states red states wouldn't even be civilized , worst education, lowest pay, stupidest people. What a hoot, Don't come with “they have blue cities in them” , if that was the case then the worst states would be blue states with blue city's in them , but that's not the case , you have to be an idiot to live in a red state. We must add there are 13 states that are literally worse for crime than New York , and they are all red states. The hate party should never open their mouth on this subject because the facts bury their dumb asses.

Imagine if you ever posted anything that was intelligent or had even a hint of truth to it....

THAT IS STUPID , SO THAT'S THE QUESTION THAT CHANGES ANYTHING. WHAT A IDIOT. HERE YOU GO ACE BECAUSE THEY ARE STUPID, thats why. THAT'S THE POINT. I GAVE YOU A LIST OF REASONS WHY YOU WOULD BE A IDIOT TO MOVE TO A RED STATE. THEY ARE REAL FACTS IDIOT,

You gave a list of outright lies fueled by your insanity and hatred.

Why are people leaving CA and NY and moving to TX and FL?

Why don't you ask them?

And Why are people leaving TX and FL and moving to CA and NY? People move for different reasons. Jobs, climate, retirement.
I have a cousin who had lived in Texas his whole life in the DFW area. Last year, he moved to California for a better paying job.

Why do you think people are leaving CA and NY and moving to TX and FL?

There's just no help for someone who is so delirious as you.

You are a lying racist POS.

We know why white libs have a vile hatred for Southerners.
