You won't find THIS on FAUX!

Liberal lefties can't mult-task,,,,,

thats one out of millions.....there's gotta be more

Herein lies the problem, assuming this story is credible which considering the two sources now covering it may be doubtful, one would expect if this is a significant type of case, there would be more. There are literally thousands of cases where premiums have gone up 80% or more, that are being called anecdotal by the left.

I seriously doubt that anyone doesn't want real healthcare reform, most just aren't willing to acknowledge the fact that Obamacare isn't reform and is likely to not only decrease the quality of care for all but the very wealthy, but also make all but the very wealthy and very poor pay much more.

The numbers originally put out on 'insuring the uninsured' are not going to hold either. While some will be picked up by medicaid, most will remain uninsured, for the bronze plan even with subsidies is unaffordable in premiums and deductibles.

I couldn't find any reference to this story on FOX. Couldn't find any references either on NYT, WaPo, AP, etc.

So the point of title was?

Fox News holds a different lie every day. All their hosts spread the lie. The next day the Left is blazing with an answer but Fox News is spreading a different lie. And anyone that has watched both media's knows that Fox News doesn't allow a Left Winger to talk, they control the conversation. Left Wing media generally allows the Right Winger to talk and challenges the talk with information.

I hear things on Faux news all the time and want to copy it. But they lie too much and it's never an "EVENT"

Zappa is correct that it doesn't look like it appeared on Fox. To your point it looks like rawstory and a site called opposing views are the only two places where this story has been covered. I'm not exactly sure what that proves 'here's a story no one covered but because Fox also didn't cover it they are bad...'

and who is paying the rest of the bill?......

As usual, the salient question of the discussion gets ignored here.

If she was paying $500 a month previously, why can't she pay this wonderful rate of $70 a month?

Why do we have to pick that up?

This wasn't billed as another welfare program.

The second salient question here: If someone with a pre-existing condition can find a policy for $70 a month before government assistance kicks in, why can't everyone else find a policy for that rate or cheaper?

Some on the left are deranged regarding FOX and Rush, so often those that seek to 'advise' conservatives in what they should 'do' politically. LOL!

That's pretty nice of everybody isn't it?

Isn't that the point of insurance? You guys say "the young and healthy will be subsidizing people like this woman" but everybody subsidizes someone. My premiums are subsidizing the geezer who needs a lung transplant because he smoked all his life, is that fair to someone who doesn't smoke? What about my premiums paying for the junkie who's made repeated trips to the ER for ODing? Not to mention all his trips to rehab.

Not to mention it doesn't look like WTAE confirmed or verified any of this. Looks like they just took her word for it.

Weren't you the guy who originally posted that FB story about the fictitious Will Sheehan and his bogus claims about having to pay fines for not getting Obamacare? It's nice to see you're now questioning stories rather than taking them at face value. Let's see you extend that skepticism to the anti-Obamacare people also.

I didn't find this on Fox either.....

San Francisco architect Lee Hammack says he and his wife, JoEllen Brothers, are “cradle Democrats.” They have donated to the liberal group Organizing for America and worked the phone banks a year ago for President Obama’s re-election.

Since 1995, Hammack and Brothers have received their health coverage from Kaiser Permanente, where Brothers worked until 2009 as a dietitian and diabetes educator. “We’ve both been in very good health all of our lives – exercise, don’t smoke, drink lightly, healthy weight, no health issues, and so on,” Hammack told me.

The couple — Lee, 60, and JoEllen, 59 — have been paying $550 a month for their health coverage — a plan that offers solid coverage, not one of the skimpy plans Obama has criticized. But recently, Kaiser informed them the plan would be canceled at the end of the year because it did not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. The couple would need to find another one. The cost would be around double what they pay now, but the benefits would be worse.
“From all of the sob stories I’ve heard and read, ours is the most extreme,” Lee told me in an email last week.
I’ve been skeptical about media stories featuring those who claimed they would be worse off because their insurance policies were being canceled on account of the ACA. In many cases, it turns out, the consumers could have found cheaper coverage through the new health insurance marketplaces, or their plans weren’t very good to begin with. Some didn’t know they could qualify for subsidies that would lower their insurance premiums.
So I tried to find flaws in what Hammack told me. I couldn’t find any.

Hammack recalled his reaction when he and his wife received a letters from Kaiser in September informing him their coverage was being canceled. “I work downstairs and my wife had a clear look of shock on her face,” he said. “Our first reaction was clearly there’s got to be some mistake. This was before the exchanges opened up. We quickly calmed down. We were confident that this would all be straightened out. But it wasn’t.”
I asked Hammack to send me details of his current plan. It carried a $4,000 deductible per person, a $40 copay for doctor visits, a $150 emergency room visit fee and 30 percent coinsurance for hospital stays after the deductible. The out-of-pocket maximum was $5,600.
This plan was ending, Kaiser’s letters told them, because it did not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. “Everything is taken care of,” the letters said. “There’s nothing you need to do.”
The letters said the couple would be enrolled in new Kaiser plans that would cost nearly $1,300 a month for the two of them (more than $15,000 a year).

Woman with Type 2 diabetes sees premiums plummet from $500 to $1 under Obamacare

A retired woman in Pittsburgh, who suffers from Type 2 diabetes, is celebrating after she said her monthly health insurance premiums went from over $500 to just over $1 because of President Barack Obama’s health care reform law.

Since the October 1 roll-out of the Affordable Care Act, many Republicans and much of the media have been focused on the fact that a small percentage of Americans have been not been able to keep low-quality insurance plans that failed to meet federal standards.

But 57-year-old Gail Roach told WTAE that she found a great deal by completing her application by phone instead of using the broken Healthcare.gov website.

Roach said that because of her pre-existing condition, her retirement health care had cost her $509 a month. After spending some time talking to a specialist, she was able to find a plan for just $70 a month.

“I couldn’t believe it, I just couldn’t believe it,” Roach recalled. “It was within my budget.”

However, the savings didn’t stop there. After tax credits and something called the Cost Sharing Benefit, Roach’s monthly premiums plummeted to just $1.11.

“I’m telling people that they need to look into this, they need to be patient about it,” she advised. “If you go on the website and you can’t get through the website, call the number that’s on the website and just be very patient because it’s very much worth it.”

You won't find stories like this on Fox...or CBS, NBC and ABC for the simple fact that it is made up, false, a lie.

Yes Zappas, you really are THAT gullible and THAT incredibly stupid.

By this time next year, when the true costs of this train wreck become painfully apparent to even the dimmest wits, I'm certain that brain dead hyper partisan trolls like you will be shrieking that they are all racist Tea Party lies; even when the sources are liberal.

You're not even a good liar. You don't watch Fox news. Hell, you're so incredibly stupid you probably think Hannity is a news anchor.

Now it bothers you?

You had nary a word to say about the "bullshit gimmickry" of those using false narratives and phoney stats to spread lies about the ACA.

Gee, I missed those phony stats and lies.....elaborate....you gotta be more specific if you want to be make a point....

Weren't you the guy who originally posted that FB story about the fictitious Will Sheehan and his bogus claims about having to pay fines for not getting Obamacare?

Let's see. A guy on a forum who posts something and says only "I saw this on Facebook"...

... compared with a professional news organization, on an FCC licensed broadcast channel...

Yeah, practically the same thing.
