In the really real world, it takes masculine traits to succeed in the real world, so women being 'strong and independent' to succeed in the work world adopt those masculine traits. I prefer a woman who can stand on her own. She is with me because what WANTS to be, not because she NEEDS to be.
 
One more fact that is often ignored by those lamenting women not wanting to get married.

1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. But sure, they should sign up to join the club!

The 'natural' order of almost all species is a male hierarchy. History has shown, and female mindsets continue to show, that they almost always want a man that is bigger, stronger, smarter, more competent than they are. Almost all women look for men that make more income than they do, which in turn satisfies the female mindset of future security for them and their children. Non compliant women, therefore, cause stress and conflict in that relationship, which lessens or destroys a mans ability to provide that security. Anyone who wants a non compliant female is setting themselves up for failure.

There are gender roles, traditionally, and it is only the feminist point of view which has churned out the BS narrative of the owner/slave relationship.

If you prefer a woman who can 'stand on her own', then what are you really there for? Are you her protector and provider, or is she yours?

what are the stats for domestic violence where the male is the victim? why did you not put that up here as well? Is it that you simply don't care?

Thanks for putting this thread back into the main theme of the OP, and that being young liberal women are the very people that avoid marriage
for many reasons, one being that they've been raised by feminist leftist parents that believe women are on equal par with men in every aspect.
If for some miracle leftists come to acquiring common sense, which I don't expect to ever see, they'll realize that men are different in many-many
ways from women, and not just because of their sex, which is also a confusing topic with the 1000+ genders lefties believe there to be.

In summary, the reason why young liberal women are both mentally unstable, and more likely not to marry is because of the way their leftist
parents raised them. Period.

Yes, traditionally men have been at the top of the hierarchy. But those traditions come from a time when men had to hunt, protect their families and build whatever they needed.

Today, families are supported by jobs that, often, do not require physical strength. In fact, the better/higher paying jobs rarely do.

As for a woman who can stand on her own, I prefer them because I know they are with me because they want to be. And I know that, if we both provide, the household has more options, more savings and more opportunities. In my house, I am the protector unless there is a need for a gun. My girlfriend is a better shot with a handgun than I am. In fact, women tend to be better shots across the board.

I did not avoid it because I don't care. The topic of the thread is younger women avoiding marriage. If you want to discuss men avoiding marriage, start a thread.

But here are the stats for men as victims of domestic violence. 1 in 10 men experience domestic violence as the victim. So it happens to women more than twice as often.

I have never been a weak man. After 65 years on this Earth, I don't think I will change.

And I am fine with a handgun. She is just better. She can't shoot a rifle very well. And she wants nothing to do with the recoil of a 12 guage.

That is the CDC stat, thus is highly suspect. Differing numbers range from 1 in 3 to 1 in 7 men experience domestic violence.

In a study of hetero, homo, and lesbian relationships, hetero relationships had 4 in 10 cases of domestic violence. Homosexual relationships had a 1 in 10, and lesbian relationships experience 7 in 10, indicating that women are more violent than men.
