Oz was a good enough candidate to win the nomination. The problem there was that he could not make a big enough coalition from trump voters and no one else.

I think the media and their polls kept some away. If the Reps were gonna have such a big wave, why add just one more vote to it?

I agree with you about Oz being a bad candidate.

He seemed like he didn't do his homework to even run in this state. He was an outsider out of touch with the natives. I've seen some newsreels where he was asked by people at town halls to name just one player on the Eagles or Steelers and couldn't do it. He couldn't name the state flower or state symbol or motto. In fact, he had to turn around and look for a State Flag to even say what he thought was on it- and still didn't realize that was the Coat Of Arms on the flag.

The good people of Pennsylvania are prouder of their state than to turn it over to outsiders who don't care about the same things they care about.

And to tell the truth, Oz just never seemed sincere about anything he said. He seemed to just ramble and parrot on with rhetoric and Conspiracy theories that someone briefed him on and told him to say.

I was not a bit surprised by the outcome- only that he actually drew the race closer than I predicted.

You need to look back at the history of who was originally in that race. Oz was a last minute candidate.

Oz announced a year before the race, and had setup an exploratory campaign more than a decade ago. Everyone knew Oz was planning on running in Pennsylvania... Which just made his refusal to buy a home here more confusing. The man literally hates to even think about living here.

Pennsylvania can be an acquired taste. If he does not want to live here, fine, but don't run for office here. If he wants to serve the Turkish Government, maybe just so long as he does not go into government.

Personally, I would have voted a write for a third party in that state. That's part of being and Independent.
