Sure, that's why Obama got re-elected. No body wants ObamaCare. Nobody wants SS. Nobody wants UI extensions. All the folks who voted for Obama just made a mistake on the ballot.

No mistake, just part of the conspiracy to destroy America from within.

Your ignorance of other people is astounding. When you think you're all grown up and decide to be a warrior, go for it. Now that the troops are coming home from overseas they need someone's ass to kick and yours is just as good as any. :)

Better. It's a much bigger target than most.

Well, the troops may not believe you support them if you turn against the government. :)

The only thing we really worry about is how many of our colleagues would actually go along with our government, and would thus be attempting to fight us. I don't think it would be more than 1/3 of the total armed forces. Remember, we are all taught about the repercussions of obeying unlawful orders, filled with examples from Nuremburg to the present. On top of that, we all grew to adulthood being taught about citizenship and resisting tyranny.

Just like in the days of the Roman Republic, when citizens were raised to hate monarchy and swear oaths to oppose it, it will take quite a compelling tyrant to convince American troops that the government's cause is worthy and just. Just look at the current and former service members here. We come from vastly different backgrounds, serve/served in differing circumstances, and all hate tyrannical government, and the idea of being used against the citizenry.

It comes down to ones interpretation of tyranny. The majority of the people voted for Obama and were well aware of his policies. Plus, the choices were clear at election time. If the people didn't want Obama style government they would have voted for Mittens. They didn't vote for Obama so they could rebel a few months later.

From where I stand all the talk about insurrection is nothing less than a coup d'état, a change of government illegally or by force, and in today's world there are some unsavory people who would like nothing more than see the US in turmoil. What better time for the enemy within to attack? The terrorists. The anarchists.

At the very least the majority of the people understand the uncertainty of their job and while they may not fully agree with ObamaCare they know they just might need medical coverage themselves. They may not agree with UI extensions but they know they just might need that, as well, at some point. They may not agree with higher taxes but they realize throwing the government into turmoil when Iran could be building nuclear weapons is not the best thing to do.

It's a case of balancing the uncertainty against the so-called tyranny. The tyranny doesn't rise to the level of rebellion which would increase the uncertainty. Also, as I mentioned many see the so-called tyranny (social programs) as a good thing. The election made that clear.

Dream on. Keep playing your week-end war games but don't be home late for dinner. And for God's sake don't poke someone's eye out!

I can't help it that the Kanadian Military are such pussies and would murder their own relatives; because here in America, we install the idea of Freedom at an early age. :D

Now you appear to be saying that when Obama was elected, the people expected him to become a tyrannt and wage war against the citizens of the US> :palm:

Rise up, and see what size hole the Michigan state, county and local police put in your argument.

You might discover they're better prepared than a third-world government.

So you're saying the US Federal government's Armed forces are less prepared than Michigan state, county and local police and that they are a "third world government"?
