22 Days: Kamala Harris has not held a press conference since emerging as presumptive Democratic nominee

She needs to win over the Independents. The Democrats and the MAGAts will vote for their candidates, even if a small segment of Democrat antisemites sit out the voting for Harris. It's the third of all US voters who are Independents or not Democrats or Republicans who will decide this election. It's those voters who each candidate needs to win over. Trump is losing them and Harris is gaining them.

IMO, Harris will roll out her platform next week at the DNC. The MAGAts are panicking because they are losing and are trying to push Harris off balance.

After the Convention and after Harris releases her platform, then both she and Walz will make the MSM rounds leading up to and after the debates.

Since Trump entered politics what was expected or normal in the past has been redefined, now the importance is to keep your name and profile out there, regardless of content. In a normal election cycle (where you go through a long primary and then general) it's hard to avoid facing the press that entire time. For all Trump's faults he will sit down and do interviews (with a combative interviewer). Kamala doesn't want that smoke. There are no perfect candidates and one of her weaknesses is her whole word salad thing that she does and you very well know her campaign would prefer not to put her a situation where that could come through when having to defend why she's changing so many positions.

So as long as it's working for her (avoiding interviews) she's going to keep doing it.

Also, why did the Biden/Harris administration deny Israel many of the weapons needed to defeat Hamas and Hezbollah.

These wars would already be over if they had not withheld crucial weapons.

Not a normal election cycle, and I’d add, accompanying this fact, there hasn’t been a normal election cycle since Trump emerged, for beginners, content, what candidates say, means less

Harris will do the interviews at some point, and will do no better or worse than Trump did in similar interviews, but the interviews will mean less than they did even a decade ago
