Not a lawyer, but agreed. The charges will be like we are seeing now: assault on police officers, destruction of government property, breaking and entering government property, obstruction of justice, etc.

The difference is that judges and juries will see the difference between some idiot breaking into a school to steal basketballs and what the Insurrectionists did on 1/6.

Regardless of what the actual charges end up being, the sentences will be very real and very long for the violent Insurrectionists .
