A new Russian-Finnish war is coming

You might be. I know better. You are valueless.

Thank, you nordie. Does that explain why you follow me so closely? If you think I am being paid by the post and response, I owe you a dinner or three.
BTW thanks for the bump.

Ukraine wanted to market to the West. You would think they have the right to choose who will be trading partners. They did not want to take a step back in time with Russia. However many Russians went to Ukraine for vacations and to visit family. Putin turned them all into enemies.
NATO did not allow Ukraine to join due to corrupt leadership. They were defacto independent, not NATO.
Before China came along, the Soviets had the fastest growing economy in world history. No one knows about it because we are taught from an early age that Russians are bad and the US has to protect Europe from them mean Russkis.

I bet you were told to hide under your desk at school and you'd be safe from nuclear fallout.

We had nuclear bomb drills. We hid under our desks when we were in a drill or all marched into a bomb shelter. The illogic of hiding under wood in a nuclear attack was not missed by us kids.
Russia has a long history of expansion, which is just a nicer term for taking over the neighboring countries. They do not care if you have done something wrong. Ukraine was no threat to Russia. They were just looking to the West for trade and principles. They wanted to get into NATO because they figured Russia was eventually going to attack them. You probably think they were wrong.

The US government programed us from an early age that Russia is bad and we need to spend $2 trillion a year to protect the world from them. Since 2001, the pentagon has lost or stolen over $21 trillion. Time is a good way to understand money: a trillion seconds takes 31.6 years to count off. The US government adds $1 trillion to our national debt every 100 days. Americans have no idea how much money that is.

The US government was correct about Russia. Russia has a long history of attacking countries. Here are just the last 30 years. https://www.ukrainer.net/russian-wars/

Even without the USA, Nato would still win in a fight

NATO without the U.S. in a conventional war could defeat Russia, NATO has the manpower edge, better trained personnel, and much better weapons too?!! Russia would have to use Nukes to stop from being defeated outright, keep in mind England and France have nukes too?!!

As NATO approaches its 75th anniversary and the prospect of Trump returning to the White House intensifies, discussions are focused on Nato without the United States.

Could Europe cope? Amid whispers of American withdrawal, questions have arisen about the Alliance’s ability to counter threats, especially from Russia.
At first glance, the answer seems straightforward. The collective military capability of Nato members, even without the US, is formidable – dwarfing Ukraine’s 2022 resources that successfully stalled the Russian advance and knocked it back on most fronts.

Facing Russia in 2022, Ukraine’s armed forces, armed with older Soviet-era military hardware, had approximately 850 to 1,000 main battle tanks such as the T-64, T-72, and T-80 models. There were some hundreds of artillery pieces and fewer than 100 operational combat jets. Nonetheless Ukraine’s small forces, stiffened with initially small numbers of advanced Western weapons, were able to throw Russian forces back in most areas and reduced their progress to a grinding crawl in the southeast.

Russia, boasting a mind-bogglingly huge military arsenal with up to 13,000 tanks and over a thousand fighter jets, demonstrated severe weaknesses. These included logistical challenges and massive hardware losses. If Russia couldn’t push Ukraine over, its chance of success against the much bigger and more sophisticated armies of Nato – even without the US – would seem slim.

For the collective military capability of European Nato members is, indeed, vastly superior to what Ukraine had available in 2022. Equipment includes thousands of main battle tanks, including modern models like the Leopard 2, Leclerc, and Challenger 2, and an impressive array of advanced jet fighters such as Eurofighter Typhoons, Dassault Rafales, and SAAB Gripens, European Nato countries possess a significant armoured and aerial advantage over Russia. European nations also possess some advanced US weapons, including limited numbers of F-35 fifth generation fighters and advanced long range precision weapons such as the M57 ATACMS ballistic missile, already in Poland’s Armory, and Britain’s Tomahawk cruise missiles.

In terms of sheer troop numbers, Nato members excluding the United States boast over 1.5 million active military personnel, contrasting Russia’s approximately 1 million active-duty soldiers. While on paper, this suggests a numerical advantage for Nato, the true strength of the Alliance lies beyond headcounts. It’s more complex than that.

You cited propaganda from Ukraine news. The eastern expansion of NATO started under Clinton. That's over 30 years of US aggression. Russia and China are completely surrounded by US military bases. Geneva Conventions call aggression the worst form of war crime.

It was the US that used the 2014 Minsk accords to stockpile weapons in Ukraine. And again, it was the US who sent Boris Johnson to end the 2022 peace deal between Putin and Zelensky.

You don't want to know the facts.

A new Russian-Finnish war is coming

The Russian-Finnish War of 1939-1940 began with an ultimatum from Moscow to transfer part of the territory of Finland to the USSR, namely the Korel Isthmus and islands in the Gulf of Finland in order to ensure the security of Leningrad. In other words, the Finns recklessly placed their country too close to the city of revolutionary glory, which the insidious Finns could subject to artillery fire. As a result of the war, the Finns lost 10% of their territory and Vyborg, the second largest city in Finland. Today the threat from Finland has returned again, which, having become a NATO member, has the opportunity to fire at the same city, now St. Petersburg, with NATO missiles. Due to the fact that the threat situation has returned, we must expect a new ultimatum for the Finns to move the border beyond the flight time, that is, to move the country to the ice of the Arctic Ocean, otherwise they will suffer the same fate as Ukraine.

This would trigger a NATO response. Finland became a member of NATO in 2023.

NATO just got humiliated in Ukraine, the Russians are not the least bit afraid of NATO and has just promised to kill any uniformed NATO forces that cross into Ukraine.

Putin, if he lives that long, will wait until the next time a demycrat gets elected to the WH before he invades Finland.......that's the only time he attacks his neighbors.......

Fantasy unless the Finns attack Russia first....which they very well may be dumb enough to do.

Violating historic promises to Russia to at enormous economic costs to join NATO just as it collapses is a brainiac move.
