Police are investigating a shooting at a crowded Chico bar that left at least two people injured.




Police say the shooting occurred inside LaSalles bar around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.




A man reportedly suffered at least one serious gunshot wound to the chest, while a woman standing near him also was shot, the Chico Enterprise-Record reports.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police found the body of a man on the front porch of a home in east Charlotte Sunday morning.



What neighbors thought were fireworks, turned out to be gunshots.




Police said they found Timothy Staten's body with a single gunshot wound on Erskine Drive and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police were searching Sunday for the gunman who killed a 39-year-old woman inside her car and wounded her teen son in Flushing, Queens on Saturday, just hours after an unrelated shooting took place blocks away.



Shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday, a wounded 18-year-old man entered a New York City Police Department stationhouse and told police that he and his mother had been shot on Jewel Avenue in Flushing.




Officers went to the scene, where they found Christina Coleman, a 39-year-old nurse, inside a car with a gunshot wound to the head.




She was pronounced dead at the hospital.




The teenager was still recovering from a gunshot wound to the chest on Sunday.




Some residents at nearby Pomonok Houses first thought the gunshots were holiday firecrackers...

One man was killed and another injured in what police believe was a drive-by shooting in southeast Houston early Sunday.




Police said they responded to a shooting on Rosedale and Tierwester around 1:30 a.m. and found a man lying on the street corner with a gunshot wound.




Police searched the area and found another male victim behind the house.




Both were transported to the hospital, where the man found behind the house died a short time later.

A Tulsa Police officer was nearby when he overheard shots fired outside a north Tulsa sports bar at 3200 N. Peoria overnight Sunday.




Sergeant Steve Stoltz said he thought at first the multiple gunshots might be fireworks, but called in for backup units.




Additional shots were fired as people outside Tanzi Sports Bar scattered.




An employee of the bar was cooking and selling food at about 2:30 a.m. while a crowd of more than 100 people stood in the bar parking lot and spilled over to a nearby car wash parking lot.




Police found one man with a gunshot wound to his Adam's apple, Stoltz said.


The man was taken to a local hospital, and another man arrived at a hospital on his own with gunshot wounds police believe he got outside the bar.

A graduation party in Pomona ended with gunshots and three wounded, police said Sunday.




The shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. at a home in the 2100 block of Spencer Avenue, across from Ted Greene Park , according to Pomona police Sgt. Iain Miller.




A young person who lives at 2165 Spencer St. was hosting a graduation party.




The shooting erupted as an unidentified suspect was being escorted out of the party, causing a fight.




When officers arrived at the scene, they found Tomas Mejia suffering from a gunshot wound.




Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, where he was reported in critical condition.




Police also reported two other shooting victims.

Authorities are on a manhunt for a killer who shot five people at a rural Douglass Township home Saturday night, leaving a Fall River toddler and a Yarmouth man dead and critically injuring three others.




Gregory Erdmann, 2, of Fall River and Joseph Shay, 43, of Yarmouth and New York City were both shot in the head and killed, said Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin R. Steele in a statement.




Three other victims — Gregory’s mother, Kathryn Erdmann, 37, and the home-owners, Paul Shay, 64, and Monica Shay, 58, both of New York City — were hospitalized in critical condition...

At least three people are dead and two others have been injured in four separate shootings in Richmond within three hours Sunday night.









The first shooting was reported at about 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Ohio Avenue and South 39th Street, Richmond police Lt. Bisa French said.








Upon arrival, police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital.








Around 10:30 p.m., the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office responded to a homicide in unincorporated North Richmond.




Richmond police also responded to a homicide just after 11 p.m., in the 3200 block of Center Avenue.






A 19-year-old man was shot and killed in his vehicle as he was preparing to leave after visiting friends in the neighborhood.






Another homicide was reported at the intersection of MacDonald Avenue and First Street at about 11:15 p.m..

A man killed four people in South Carolina, then took his own life after leading a police chase back to the scene where three of the bodies were found, authorities said Sunday.




Kenneth Meyers, 46, was driving the fourth victim's car when deputies began chasing him early Sunday morning.




Officers fired several shots at Meyers as he tried to ram their cruisers before the chase ended back at the home where deputies found three people dead around 6 p.m. Saturday.


Meyers then apparently shot himself...

A 16-year-old girl from the Atlanta area has died after what police are calling an accidental shooting in Hinesville Monday evening.




Hinesville Police Chief of Detectives Cribbs said the girl involved died at Liberty Regional Medical Center and that she was shot about 6 p.m. inside a home in the 400 block of Elm Street.


He said there were two teenage girls, the victim and a 14-year-old, home alone at the time.




The younger girl was handling a handgun when it apparently discharged, striking the older girl in the face.

A knife-wielding man was shot and killed by a BART police officer at the Civic Center Station Sunday night forcing the complete closure of the transit facility, according to the agency and passengers who said they heard the gunshots.




Passengers told the Beat that they heard gunfire coming from the BART platform level of the station followed by a large police response.





“I was waiting for MUNI above and heard several gun shots, then screaming, and people cursing the cops for shooting some guy,” a passenger who was at Civic Center Station said.




The suspect shot by police was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, according to authorities.




He died shortly after arrival.

A man died as a result of injuries sustained during an early morning shooting in the parking lot of Sunterra apartments.




A second victim remains in critical condition at Lee Memorial Hospital.







According to Fort Myers Police Department Spokeswoman Shelly Flynn, officers were called to the scene, 3541 Evans Avenue, at about 3:10 a.m.







Upon arrival, officers found Prentis Boston, 22, and Dejarvis Harris, 19, with life-threatening gunshot wounds.




Both were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where Harris later died.

Police are investigating a shooting on Judson Street that left a 23-year-old man hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his neck and shoulder.



Jahquan Owens said he was walking home just after midnight when he heard what he thought was fireworks near First Street and Judson Street.




As Owens continued walking, he started to feel a numbness in his right shoulder, realizing he had been shot.




Owens went to his house and called 911.




He was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to Albany Medical Center.

Virginia Beach police are investigating the shootings of five people.




Spokesman Jimmy Barnes says an officer on patrol about 3:30 a.m. Monday heard gunshots and found a vehicle in which one person had been shot in the back and another was shot in the hand. They were transported to a local hospital.




Barnes said in a news release that three other people suffering gunshot wounds arrived at other nearby hospitals during the same time period.
