Austrian economics

That is what some in the Austrian camp claim. The discussion includes Bryan Caplan who you previously seemed to think was a useful source. It's not glowing praise of Austrians but seems fair. The link is for those who like to consider things intelligently, a group that obviously does not include you.

CATO is Austrian propaganda and its trash

PROVE they are admired and respected by the other schools of thought if that is what you are claiming

How about YOU prove YOUR claim that they are laughed at by other experts Desh?

The very link you posted from the economist showed where Krugman and others were AGREEING with them on the point of loose credit.

Why I Am Not an Austrian Economist
by

Bryan Caplan

Assistant Professor
Department of Economics
George Mason University

I do not deny that Austrian economists have made valuable contributions to economics. Rather, as the sequel will argue, I maintain that:

(a) The effort to rebuild economics along foundations substantially different from those of modern neoclassical economics fails.

(b) Austrian economists have often misunderstood modern neoclassical economics, causing them to overstate their differences with it.

(c) Several of the most important Austrian claims are false, or at least overstated.

(d) Modern neoclassical economics has made a number of important discoveries which Austrian economists for the most part have not appreciated.

You claim CATO is a piece of crap yet you use an article written by someone at CATO to argue your point for you.

Yes Cato is propaganda.

yes I posted an article that I assumed by its title was a critic of the Austrian school.

how does that now make the Austrian school viable when it has never been so?

Their mission is not to advance Austrian economics.

and tell us all what they received it for?

Received what for? The Milton Friedman award? Why would it matter? If their purpose were to advance Austrian economics then they would not make a hero of its critics or associate with them. You won't hear about the Mises Instistute giving out any Milton Friedman awards.
