Daniels loss in court on a defamation suit doesn't affect her as a witness on whether she was paid $130,000 or not.
The voice recording of Trump and Cohen discussing a payment will be stronger than either Daniels or Cohen's testimony when it comes to proving Trump's intent.

Her problem was hiring a Psycho Attorney to represent her.
This $122,000 was a result of her Attorney not filing for her appeal on time. The court had no choice but to reject it, and Trump said that his Attorney fees were $122,000 for their preparation for the Appeal.
That is on top of the $500,000 dollars that was granted to Trump for legal fees in the original Defamation Lawsuit that she lost in court about a year ago.
If Stormy would have had a decent and legitimate lawyer representing her in her defamation lawsuit, she could have easily won it.
But, that is how it goes in our legal system- The one with the best lawyers win.
In October, Otero dismissed Daniels’s defamation lawsuit against Trump and ordered her to pay his attorney’s fees. He said in that ruling that a tweet the president had written referring to her was protected by free-speech laws.
But, a good lawyer could have easily challenged this ruling made by a Bush appointed Republican Judge in a Court in the Red State of Texas by appealing the verdict.
But her stupid lawyer fucked up and didn't file the appeal on time according to the law.
Porn stars do not get a fair trial in Texas because of all the pre-concieved notions the Jury and the Judges have of them in this Bible-Thumping state full of Republican appointed Zealot Judges and overwhelming Holy-Rollers that make up the Juries.
And no one is going to win any lawsuit in the RED-NECK state of Texas, if the lawsuit is against their CHEETO JESUS- DONALD TRUMP!

Irrelevant appeal to authority. I didn't go to law school. I took engineering and business degrees, rather than a simple liberal art like law. The best and brightest are rarely liars... err, lawyers. In fact, the vast majority of lawyers are really nothing more than glorified clerks filling out paperwork to file with the court. On a personal note, I have little more than contempt for the average lawyer, and I am not afraid in the least to show it.
Ah, Trump did pay off the porn star, and then tried cover up the payment, that fact got Cohen three years jail time

So, she lost twice to Trump over his paying her cash for her attempted extortion of money (a felony) from him as Alan Dershowitz put it. It isn't illegal to pay hush money and then report it on your taxes, like Trump did. It is illegal to demand cash to keep your mouth shut or you'll ruin someone else (what Daniels did to Trump).
She's not going to be much of a witness...

I'd be interested to see if they could find a random selection of 12 folks in any state or city where at least 3 folks would not be Trump voters. Even in NYC, a good percentage of folks voted for Trump. They can't ask: Who did you vote for? They only have so many rejects until they get to "rejected for cause" and there is no way that even a biased judge can allow them to reject every single person registered as a republican if they "just so happened" to get registration lists that they are "not allowed" to use to reject jurists.
How do you think they'd be able to get 12 people, even in NYC, and be assured that not one of them voted for and/or likes Trump?
I get that the current narrative is there is "no way" for him to get a fair trial, but in reality I don't see how it is possible for them not to accidentally seat some "Trumppers" on that Jury.

This is true. I have not heard one conservative lawyer say they have a good case, but I have heard quite a few leftist lawyers say that this case is weak and should not be brought for several reasons.
This still doesn't change that in reality there is no way they can be certain they have not seated at least one "Trumpper" on the jury.
