Collapse of the American Empire

Do you seriously think that our role as global superpower is responsible for the economic collapse?.....Its only since the far left liberal pinheads that continue to push us toward socialism, becoming a country of welfare recipients living off the hard work of others, and trying to 'redistribute' the country wealth , that we've gotten into a downward economic spiral......
If we survive this present generation of pinhead leftists, we'll fully recover and then some.

I believe greed will be the main factor that brings down this country in the end!

But also some of the same factors that took down the Roman Empire, might also take this country down too!

Why did Rome Fall?
There are adherents to single factors, but more people think a combination of such factors as Christianity, decadence, lead, monetary trouble, and military problems caused the Fall of Rome. Imperial incompetence and chance could be added to the list. Even the rise of Islam is proposed as the reason for Rome's fall, by some who think the Fall of Rome happened at Constantinople in A.D. 1453.

Isn't the cost of the military what has brought the other superpowers down in history, especially when they do away with the things that supported it in the first place? The true cost of our trying to maintain control of the world is hidden from us and some it not included as part of the military budget, but tucked nicely away in other departments so that the US citizenry won't realize just how much we spend on the Department of Defense! It makes all the other high cost programs seem tame, but you will deny this and make excuses for our imperialism and try to insult me, but I have had it done by better than you, and I am still hanging in there, O'Really Mini Me!

As long as you believe you cannot be beaten you will be beaten. As long as you think you have the right to more than your share it will be taken from you. As long as you believe that other countries envy you, you will envy them.
Until you wake up and look up and see those you despise high above you.
Just not enough good people over there.

I see the solution being two-fold.

First, nuclear power. Changed into electricity that would satisfy everything from heating to travel.

Second, channel resources into developing robots just as the Japanese are doing. They could look after the aging population at a fraction of the present cost.

There's my suggestions.

Besides, some of those robots are inspiring, for lack of a better word. :)

The only way to save the empire is to start manufacturing goods again in this country and protect our workers from communist slave labor. Impose tariffs and subsidize industry just like all of our competitors do.

Before you start making things you have to sell them. Then you have to export things. You have to make the things that people want. You have to work hard at building relationships and you have to stop believing that the world owes you a living.
I do not understand how you are under threat from communist slave labour. Please explain. Are they, even now, advancing on your capital with pitchforks primed?
Tarriffs and quotas do not really work in the long term. You don't really want to get into a tit-for-tat situation particularly since you are all out of tat!
 
LOL we are increasing our lead economically over the not so super powers.
Anti globalization is for the buggywhip lobby and other GED'rs
