asstool, I hope somebody buys Chevron soon. I'm in that sweet spot in that even a severance package at this point puts me way over the top. And oil never gives less than 2wks for every year.:clink:

1) The market is NOT up every year

2) The average investor does not even come close to mimicking the market return over the long term

3) Yes, you say net worth is up... PROVE it. Because I think you are wrong. You made the claim... back it up.

4) You say there are hundreds of charts... I want the data set YOU are using. That way we are both referencing the same data.

5) Saying that people contributing to 401k's is equivalent of people seeing their net worth go up is ridiculous. There are too many other factors out there that play a part in determining net worth. Home values, debt, performance of investment assets etc...
