Defining the Christian Life

History's Great Christian Lives:

Paul
The early martyrs
Augustine
St. Patrick Bernard of Clairvaux
Francis of Assisi
Clare of Assisi
Catherine of Siena
Thomas More
Martin Luther
John Wesley
The Monks of Mount Athos
Teresa of Calcutta
Martin Luther King

It is ultimately futile to create the definition of a great Christian - we will nevertheless suggest some qualities that just about all of the people on our list share:

1. All are rooted in scripture.
2. All the people we examined were willing to sacrifice their lives for Christ, in imitation of Christ himself.
3.All perceived the need to practice Christian love and live as part of the visible body of Christ on Earth.
4. The virtue of humility is a universal attribute of great Christians.
5. All were conscious of finding a relationship between the active and contemplative dimensions of Christianity.

Believing in something you can't see, touch, or feel. Believing in Magic. Believing in a Philosophy that was founded under Imperial Rome occupation, a Philosophy of Survival (submission to the Authorities).

'Science' would be the opposite of 'Religious Belief'. Science follow the facts, if the facts change, the science changes. Religious Belief NEVER changes. THAT'S the problem with 'Religion'.

OP is an atheist faggot with rotten cum in his colon.

OP is a Religious Quack. Continuously praises a Slave Religion.
Supports 'Latin Only', since once the Slaves were exposed to the Bible in their native tongue, they revolted.

My guess, ... 'Cypress' is a TV Evangelist. 'Religion is a Good Hustle' should be his byline.

Yeah, that's not God's religion.

Here's what I know:

God created this world we live in, you're free to do whatever you want.

He also ingrained karma into this world to keep you fuckers straight!

People probably should do what God asks of them and they might would be happier.

People that take in money in the name of God and provide nothing will be having a bad time.

Matt. When 9/11 happened, Cypress got on his soap box and declared 'we must Forgive our Trespassers' ... 'we must Turn the Other Cheek'. 'Jesus is our Lord'

Secular America said 'Fuck You Cypress, we're going after these assholes'.

"Osama bin Laden, the founder and first leader of the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda, was killed in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, shortly after 1:00 a.m. PKT[1][2] (20:00 UTC, May 1) by United States Navy SEALs of the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Development Group"

This site has been online since then?

I was on Yahoo chat and voice chat in those days. :dunno::

This Christian Nation pyramid scheme of injustice where exposing the fabricated misnomer immaculate Jesus the Christ conception results in lynching enforcement department of corrections to insure then ensure their “man is God” diatribe from killing as reason in use of force to avoid Christiananality pedophilia super ego acceptance of under God at all costs.

I suppose real Christians start off from what Jesus said, and put it into what they feel is appropriate practice. I've met a few, but you won't have heard of them: they were Christians, not SELF-promoting ego-trippers..

I have university degrees in science, and certainly know more about science than you.

Considering the vast volume of posts on this forum which amount to nothing more than scurrilous gossip, blantant racism, unrepentant nincompoopery, I am surprised you would complain so vociferously about a brief examination of the lives of Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Francis of Assisi.

I believe you are one of the smarter Posters here on the Forum, which is why I am astounded at your constant PROMOTION of Religion. A 1,000 years ago, we could all marvel at these men of 'wisdom', living the Bible, telling us all about 'the Word of God', giving us all Guidance into Purity, that Salvation could be had Through the Word of Jesus Christ.
But ... after the Renaissance, Enlightenment took over, Science, Inquiry, Questioning what was.

Now, you promote Thomas More, he objected to King Henry and the issue of Divorce and lost his head over it, now a saint, Saint Thomas More. I believe YOU are on your second marriage (or maybe it's your wife's?), you could become a Saint, Saint Cypress. Do what Thomas More did, live your Faith, request that your head be cut off. Talk the talk and walk the walk, Sir Cypress.

Jack is one of the forum's most prolific producers of said scurrilous gossip, nincompoopery, bullshit, etc. The problem with posting a thoughtful discussion in the late hours of the day is the attraction of drunks, stoners, morons, creeps, shit-disturbers, and trolls.

:) Says the Queen of Gossip.

Do you have any thing to say on the Topic? ... or simply your standard bullshit of jibber jabber?

Like Cypress, you could become Saint Owl. All you have to do is embrace the Faith of Thomas More. Get in line after Cypress and have your head cut off.

I believe any thoughtful person has a lot to learn from an examination of the lives and values of Christians like Martin Luther King Jr., Augustine, Mother Teresa, as well as atheists like Frederick Nitzche, Buddhists like Sadartha Guatama, and Hindus like Mahatma Ghandi.

In other words, my arrow struck true.

Now run off to the Toxic thread and talk some more about what you imagine about my sex life.
