Disney Pulls Plug on $1 Billion Development in Florida

have you seen what's happening to the cost of housing in Central Florida?......they don't need another 2000 people moving in to work at Disney......
Agreed. Tell all those corporations to leave and take their white collar jobs with them! Florida needs more room for trailer homes….they’re easier to replace after a hurricane.

Actually it is their legal right in Florida to have a district where the landowners elect the board.

no.....it WAS their legal right until Florida changed the law......aside from the question of whether they should have ever had that right, they no longer do......and when they tried to rig a "contract" with their handpicked board that purported to take away the state's authority they broke the law.......their arrogance and stupidity is inexplicable......

so unless Disney gets to run elections where they hand pick the eventually winner, they will not build in the state

GOOD

All corporate fascists that like this can seriously fuck off

When you have Trump and Newsome both going at you, you are in trouble.

Disney is also very likely to win their lawsuit against DeSantis for coming Adam for a simple political disagreement.

No, the little mermaid was white

no she wasn't......

Losing a billion dollars in profits in just over a year is not doing fine.

And the big issue is that Igor is keeping the same course meaning this trend should continue

With their loss in profits means their stock prices drop meaning their big shareholders are losing tens of millions of dollars

How is that doing fine?

Are you sure you are looking at Disney financials because your numbers are completely bogus when compared to the actual financials.

I just posted an article that Disney's profits are up 35% over prior year. Neither tinkerbell or zybarf post anything correct or worth reading.

over prior year.

LMAO

hey everyone, after America stopped worrying about covid and started going back into large crowds, Disney profits are back up

and retards on the left think this means something

LOL. You are the one that seems to be a moron. Disney lost money in 2020. Made money in 2021. Made even more money in 2022. Appear to be making even more money in 2023.
Tinkerpeach was making a claim that was obviously false when the claim was made that Disney lost $1.2 billion in profits recently compared to previous periods.

Profits do mean something. It means that Disney has a lot of cash on hand because they have profits.
In April, they had $10 billion in cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash. They had $1.9 billion in free cash flow.
