I guarantee you, anything I would do would be a step up from what liberals are going to do. As we can see here, they are not ready to lead at all, we will have 4 years of blaming Bush some more, and refusing to address the problems and issues.

Personally, I think strong economic sanctions, maybe a complete boycott, would get Putin's attention. Especially if we could get the EU to join us in the effort. Hit them where it hurts the most, the pocketbook!

Well I would say that is a pretty safe guarantee since I have as much chance being elected President as Ron Paul. You asked what I thought an appropriate response would be, and I told you. It seems a little better than simply doing nothing and blaming it on Bush, but apparently you think that is a good plan.

Actually, doing nothing is a much better plan that concocting some half-assed sanctions scheme that would be ineffectual if the US pursued unilaterally and it a complete non-starter for the European Union. I mean, seems to me that it's better to do nothing and to propose nothing than it is to proposed some bullshit response that everyone laughs at but looks "tough."

Yes you are right Oncie, it's much better to do nothing and blame Bush, than to lead and take action. I think it is a brilliant plan for liberals, since they like to do nothing anyway, and blaming Bush has worked so well for them. I just want America to realize the big dog is getting up on the porch now, and this is how liberals plan to deal with the problems in the world under an Obama administration. This is a classic example of what kind of 'leadership' we can expect to see on the world stage. Indifferent and inactive attitudes, focused on looking behind them, and blaming the former administration for any and all problems. I think it is important for Americans to realize the dynamics and how they are about to change, for whatever it's worth. Tell India to make room in the back seat for us, huh?

Speaking of daisies, I'm not really into perfumes. I usually just wear body lotion from The Body Shop. But I happened to spray on some of Marc Jacobs "Daisy" this weekend, and I couldn't stop smelling my wrist all day. So the next morning, I went to Nordstroms and got the perfume, body lotion, and shower gel. I smell so good. I love this stuff. Very soft and feminine and not at all overpowering, which I find most perfumes to be.

But they could lead the Georgian leadership to believe that the US would come to their aid in a conflict with Russia, which is pretty unfortunate for the people of Georgia.
