Football Picks

So, let's have a look at our top rated quarterbacks this past weekend:

Eli Manning: Almost lost, pulled off what his brother couldn't quite manage
Aaron Rodgers: Won against an imploding Bears. He's still not looking great, though.
Tom Brady: Lost, failing to rack up the the tons of fantasy points I needed from him.
Drew Brees: Lost, again
Peyton Manning: Lost in the 1st Quarter

RG3 lost, but Russell Wilson won. I used a line of separation, since these rookies don't count as top rated yet. Actually, no one really considers Eli to be among that list of names, but he's a Manning, he didn't manage to lose, and he's got everyone except Brady beat in the Superbowl Rings department.

And even death hasn't stopped the scorn being heaped on him.

CLEVELAND (AP) Art Modell's death spawned touching tributes, heartfelt condolences and sympathy from every corner of the NFL map.

Except one.


When news of the gregarious NFL owner's death reached Cleveland, there were few tears, little praise and even less compassion.


"Good," said Debbie Wentz of Brunswick. "That's what I thought when I first heard about it. I'm still bitter about the move."


Modell's passing at the age of 87 from natural causes rekindled memories from Cleveland fans, who may never forgive him for taking his franchise and their team - the beloved Browns - to Baltimore after the 1995 season. He remains reviled in this football-mad city, which had its heart broken by a longtime civic leader.

It looks like Cap’t Billy changed his Chi@GB pick from Chi to GB. Which was good for him.

I couldn’t find Christiefan915s Wash@St.L pick. I had to go to the line. It was a lose.
