I have seen this stuff since the Bill Clinton days. The few republicans that do this need to realize that they do more harm than good to their cause when it gets out. I remember a band playing at a republican rally that I attended. There was this guy there with a hangman's noose around a Bill Clinton doll. Later this same band was at a democratic rally that I also attended and they guy was talking about this repulsive caraciture to the audience and then a story wound up in the paper......doing damage, rightly so, to the republicans.

Everyone keeps saying "the few".

Really?

Because a row, A ROW, of people waiting to enter a McCain/Palin event are on video, and they are saying things like Obama is a muslim terrorist, who should have his head cut off. Or implying that, by saying "well that's what THEY do, isn't it?"

Try, it's about 30% of your base.

Now, we're getting somewhere close to the truth.

Let's have a "suspension of disbelief" moment and accept for the time being that having an abortion is "killing a baby."

Does any rational human really think that only liberals get abortions?

Of course not. Conservatives want liberals to protect them from their own depravity, that's why republicans rant against porn, but the red states have the highest levels of porn use.

They can't keep their little pecks in their pants, and don't want to take responsibility, so they whine "the liberals lettttt us do it".

however, this thread is not about republicans pervs, it's about the 30% of their base who are racist lunatics.

True; I didn't mean to actively participate in a hijacking of one of your threads.

What strikes me about the McCain rallies is that they come across as a true mob mentality. It isn't just 1 isolated speaker saying something racist or idiotic, like "Obama's an arab terrorist." It's the way the crowd reacts to the comment, and even the way they react to McCain's few moments of trying to say Obama is not a terrorist or is a decent person.

Very, very ugly....
