No Lorax. I don't think only liberals get abortions. I think people that claim to be conservative in the general sense get them......and if they are claiming that they are social conservatives then I would call them hypocrites. I do think that only [social] liberals support abortions.

I do not beleive a person is required to have sex prior to forming an opinion on abortion. (and no, I won't be going into the whole right/wrong discussion on abortion, just wanted to point out the obvious)

What strikes me about the McCain rallies is that they come across as a true mob mentality. It isn't just 1 isolated speaker saying something racist or idiotic, like "Obama's an arab terrorist." It's the way the crowd reacts to the comment, and even the way they react to McCain's few moments of trying to say Obama is not a terrorist or is a decent person.

If by red states, you mean the South, then this isn't about conservatism at all. A more vile, degenerate, and pathetic people never did exist than in the American South. It was the birthplace of American liberalism, and it destroyed the Republic. Now its views are fairly antequated since the rise of the New Left.

And if you think the south is the stereotypical people you have described in previous posts, you are deluded.

A large portion of the republican base is perfectly willing to continue the mob mentality and racism. And that is not even close to being a southern attribute, it is party politics in its lowest form.

What's a mob without guns, though? Another great leftist blunder. In addition to what I already said, conservatism is an elitist ideology and always has been. Liberalism is for the "common peoplez." The New Left usurped power from the conservatives in places like New England in the 60's, who slowly turned to liberals of various stripes (primarily libertarian and populist). Over the past 16 years, the rise of the neocons has seen the purging of libertarian elements from the GOP.
 
Both racism and abortion are wrong. This is just another reason why I'm an independent and never vote for either Party. :rolleyes:

There are a lot of registered Republicans I would like to gun down. It would mean the Dems would seize power, but there's always the possibility of a new and improved coalition to form in the darkness. As I am fond of saying, I wish Lincoln would have had nuclear weapons at his disposal.
