Greatest sporting events

The greatest sporting events I ever attended..

Probably when ND ended UCLA’s 88 game win streak. In the house that Carr built.

Shumate, Brokaw. Dice (the Iceman) Clay. I still have the program

I can’t recall if it was the same year, my sophomore, where we beat Alabama for the national championship.

I do recall the worst. My freshman year at the Orange Bowl. I think Johnny Rodgers scored every way possible other than actually kicking a point. Ran for a touchdown. Caught a pass for a touchdown. Ran back a kickoff. Ran back a punt. 40-3. But I did get a free trip to Miami!

Then the Fiesta Bowl when my hometown BSU Broncos beat Oklahoma in one of the best bowl games ever played.

Made up stories
You are trying too hard

It’s so precious when a sad lying cunt like you can take a sports thread and turn it upside down.

What a laughable sick and sorry fuck.

Just watched my Irish beat the criminals from. SC. If I recall the game we beat them year we won the National Championship, it was something like 23-21. Watched Eric Penick (44) make one of the great runs of all time

You were at some historic games! ESPECIALLY the ND vs. UCLA basketball game. I remember seeing the highlights of the game on the news. We lived in Morgan Township, Indiana at the time, just down the road from Valparaiso and South Bend.

An amazing game. I really disliked Bill Walton. Nothing but a big crybaby.

You know what we had to do before those games? Go to the dorm bathroom and take just one roll of toilet paper. Because every damn roll on campus would disappear when they bombarded the court.

Apparently an education at Notre Dame isn't worth much given your inability to string together a coherent sentence.

Soon you will be telling us how you were in the student section during Rudy's iconic sack against Georgia Tech

You mean you weren't in the stands for Rudy's iconic play against Georgia Tech? That seems odd considering it was a home game.

Maybe you were making a few buck giving out your trademark Domer in the Dome?

Do you have pictures of you at these sporting events? I mean you shared pictures of you allegedly at the FBI Academy so it would stand to reason you should provide photographic proof of you AT Notre Dame or AT some of these iconic sporting events you want us to believe you attended.

I will understand if you won't

I missed that game. As I recall, it was in the middle of the season. In the film, they got the player’s numbers wrong

Obsessed?

Obsessed?

nope, you made the claims, just asking you to back them up.

If you can't or won't, I will understand.

I don't care that you are lying about going to Notre Dame and being in the FBI. It's OK. It is just the internet. You can make up anything you want

Unfortunately I've never attended any "great" sporting events, but I've had the chance to witness some great players. I saw Ernie Banks play and Ron Santo hit two home runs in the first baseball game my dad took me to in the 1969 season. I saw Bobby Hull score a goal in the only Blackhawks game my dad took me to in 1970. I saw Mario Lemieux score a couple goals and assist on another against the Phoenix, now Arizona Coyotes, in 1996. My dad was lucky enough to go to game two of the 2001 World Series and witness Ray Charles singing "America The Beautiful".

The 1979 Sugar Bowl. #1 Penn State and #2 Alabama. Joe Paterno and Bear Bryant.

The legend of the goal line stand. 14-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Penn State got a turnover, and drove down to 1st and goal inside the 10. Made it to about the 1 foot line. They went for it on 4th down. Bama's defense held and Barry Krauss caught the diving RB in the air and stopped him. One of the most impressive defensive stops I have ever seen.

Or...

The 1992 SEC Championship. The first SEC Championship game. Played at Legion Field in B'ham. Bama was 11-0 and still hadn't won anything. Florida, under Steve Spurrier played a tough game. Bama was up, and then Florida rallied to tie the game. Florida was moving the ball. Until Antonio Langham intercepted for a Pick-6. I was sitting in the front row in the back of the end zone. Langham ran straight towards me. By the time he got there I had no voice.

It was brutally cold in the stadium. My friend and I bought roasted chestnuts and put them in our pockets to keep our hands warm. Great game!

Naw. I didn’t go to that game.

The film fucked up everything including players’ numbers. I think they got one thing right when they took a shot in Newland Science Hall. I doubt that fuck ever stepped into the building.

You sad, pitiful little cunt. Students never took cameras to games.

It looks like you’re the new forum tardboy.

:rofl2:

I would have loved to go to a baseball game with my dad. I’m not even sure whether the Seattle Pilots were formed yet.

I sure loved the Cincinnati Reds in my youth. One of the most talented teams ever

"we beat Alabama . . ."

What number were you in the program? Show yourself in uniform.
