So the WNBA has been subsidized by the NBA for decades. Its not hateful to make an observation, it's a fact. Even if Clark is the greatest female basketball player in the world, do you think she could compete in the NBA?

Humorous or sad, difficult to say which, a young women becomes a sensation nationwide for her athletic achievement and immediately the cult attacks her ridiculing her first professional contract while belittling her achievement by measuring it to men professional players

Unfortunately for female basketball players, their sport just isn't popular because the men's game is so much better. Without lots of high-dollar TV contracts and butts in the seats, there's no way to pay them anywhere close to what the men make and they shouldn't expect to make what they men make.

She couldn't play in the NBA, even as the last bench player on the worst team.

But, she won't be poor. She already has Nike deal and will surely get more endorsements. She seems to be a great person. Easy to market her.

I can watch women's golf and tennis because they look very similar to the men's equivalent.

WNBA doesn't look similar to NBA. There are a clear physical differences that is obvious in the on-the-court product. The WNBA players are visibly slower, can't jump anywhere close to the men, there's no dunking, no amazing athletic plays... it is, for me, painful to watch.
