How did we get to the point where a convicted felon is legitimate candidate for President?

How did we get this fucked up?
Easy...

First, you manufacture lies about how a candidate is going "End Democracy" and "Be a dictator that never leaves office", "put gays in cages", etc because he doesn't play nice with the DC elite.

Then you get people into position of legal power who trump up what is, at most, a misdemeanor financial crime and charge the candidate with a felony in a part of the country where he is loathed by 90% of people, so a conviction is easy.

On the other side, you have people who blindly support the felon/candidate because a) they have no standards for candidate quality and b) they literally believe God put him in to power to save the country, so a felony conviction means nothing. In fact, a felony conviction only proves that the other side is evil.

if the best the left can do for competition is Liary Rotten and Dementia Joe - they really should look inward and not externally for what is wrong

I don't think they know how Grand juries work.
I'll help you out.

The DA showed the Grand Jury the evidence he had that showed Trump broke the law ,
Nope. That's not what the DA did. The DA showed the Grand Jury "evidence" that Trump might have possibly appeared to have broken the law. Based on this, the DA asked the Grand Jury's permission to pursue the case.

It isn't a trial of any sort and the DA doesn't have to show anything other than why he believes he might very well have a case. All he needs to do is to get the Grand Jury to agree that he might very well have a case, and thus give him permission to pursue it. All the DA needed was to excuse any apparent Trump supporters and just secure a majority of those who will agree to give the DA permission to proceed with the case.

the Grand jury looked and voted to recommend Trump be indited all all 34 charges,
FALSE. The Grand Jury made no "recommendations" whatsoever. They simply gave the DA permission to proceed. It wasn't a trial of any sort and no judgements were made. Permission was given.

then it went to trial in the city where he committed the crimes
... then it went to trial where the DNC calculated it would be easiest to rig the court.

and he was judged by a jury of his peers.
... and Trump was railroaded in a totally rigged court, arranged to be full of TDS-afflicted tyrants who HATE the US and who NEVER want to see America become great ever again.

Outside that courtroom, none but the TDS-afflicted view the persecution of Donald Trump as somehow being legitimate, with you being a prime example.

Trumps lawyers had their chance to show that he didn't do it
Trump's lawyers had no chance in a rigged court full of TDS-afflicted tyrants. We the People will be perfectly fine with Trump becoming elected President and reversing/undoing all of it, with our deepest of appreciation.

"If they can do it to Trump, they can do it to me. If they'll do it to Trump, they'll do it to me." - from the wisdom of We the People

some people will always believe their orange GOD is innocent and can do no wrong
Some people will always be TDS-afflicted and will believe Trump is guilty of everything from causing COVID, Global Warming, the extinction of the dinosaurs, the Fall of Man, and everything in between. None of such people can explain why Trump wasn't the best President in US history, considering only the execution of his official duties.

The DA goes to the Grand jury and presents the evidence he has that he thinks shows that Trump broke the law.
the Grand jury looks it over and decides if there is enough evidence there to indite , they did and they indited Trump

then the DA proceeds and takes it to court where 12 people hear the evidence again and Trumps lawyers had their chance to show the jury the evidence was wrong and Trump did not do what they said he did, Trumps lawyers could not do that and he was found guilty on 34 counts by ALL 12 jurors
Have a nice day

The DA goes to the Grand jury and presents the evidence he has that he thinks shows that Trump broke the law.
You're chanting.

The DA convinces the Grand Jury that he has a case. He didn't have to show evidence that Trump broke the law. He merely had to convince the Grand Jury that he should be allowed to pursue the case, which might result in nothing.

the Grand jury looks it over and decides if there is enough evidence there to indite

The Grand Jury decides if they will permit the DA to proceed with the case. The Grand Jury can kill it right then and there.

Again, you keep erroneously harping on "evidence of a crime" and you are mistaken. It isn't a trial. I don't know what part of that you are having difficulty understanding, but until you wrap your head around the fact that it isn't a trial, you will never understand that there isn't any need for the DA to convince anyone that Trump committed any crime.

You're just flat wrong.

1) Unwritten constitutions have been the foundation of civilizations for millennia. They have been flexible and they evolve.
The US Constitution is a broom-handle up America's ass.
2) Yes, it is- you'll have to improve your content . Best that you don't attempt to rewrite mine.
There is no such thing as an "unwritten constitution".

DON'T TRY TO JUSTIFY A KANGAROO COURT. The "jury" was tainted by the judge, who broke the law. Indictment is not a conviction. A "conviction" by a tainted jury is not a conviction.

TRUMP BROKE NO LAW. BIDEN DID.

No, New York created the crimes out of thin air. In the case of the "rape" civil suit, the state of NY deliberately changed the law on the statute of limitations to allow the case to be brought for a period of one year, then the statute went back to its previous limit. What's-her-name's lawyers dropped the suit on Trump within hours of the law passing even though there had been no publicity or public discussion about it.

In both other cases (James and Bragg) the DA's openly stated while campaigning for office they were out to get Trump. Neither gave a shit about the law or legalities, they were out to get Trump regardless.

Show trials, one and all, by definition.
Indeed.
