Humans are diverse!

I think the whole LGBTPDQRSTUV thing is more about a fraction of it along with the radical Left that goes along with anything not mainstream, are being vocal about something that doesn't need to be in society's face as one example. Where things have gone is that "fair and equal" no longer means just a level playing field where everyone has a shot, but rather a situation where-- to use a basketball analogy-- the tall players have their legs sawn off to make everyone exactly the same height.

In this insane world of the Left--and yes, it is the Left pushing this--fair and equal becomes robbing the rich to give to the poor, promoting stupid people into positions that require great intellect because otherwise it'd be unfair. In this insane world of the Left, anything goes so longs as everyone goes along with it. Those that don't are pilloried and punished for not agreeing to "fair and equal."

So, being vocal about something is tantamount to giving someone an advantage? Is that what your convoluted statement is trying to say?

Why should people not be free to discuss sexuality if that is what they want to do?

I thought we were discussing politicians and SCOTUS justices!

So what is all this B-B-B-B-B-BUT Hunter bullshit!

Hunter, and by virtue of magic, his father (who is imputed with guilt with everything bad Hunter has ever done) are clearly the root of all evil in this nation. Geesh, get with it.

Its fun to see how they cant get anything on Joe Biden so they just go off on someone connected to him and hope the dirt rubs off.

I’m not just talking about race and gender… we are diverse complex and wildly different from each other.

I think of it like a computer in a limited analogy.

We are all born with an operating system, but not exactly the same operating system. Some people are DOS and some are IOS… With humans there is a huge variety of options of operating systems, in fact I’m sure no two are exactly alike but many are very similar.

From before we are born the software begins to be programmed.. sounds from outside our mothers womb, temperatures, whatever environmental events. The programming accelerates after birth and continues our entire lives.

So there is really no set way to be. There is really no specific human trait. Many of us are born into very similar environments and operate in similar ways, but don’t confuse groups of similar people with an idea that it’s “how people are” or “how people are supposed to be”.

These operating systems evolved over eons, and the programming changes drastically over short timeframe. For example, imagine your grandparents operating in todays world… imagine their ideology (if they stopped learning and adapting) allowing them to be successful in modern society.

My point is this…. All this argument about men shouldn’t wear dresses and women should follow in a marriage, or marriage is only between a man and a woman are silly because what is is to be human is very flexible and transient.

bullshit

No, being 'in your face' about it is. Discussion is one thing, forcing your views on others is another. The latter is a hallmark of the Left, more so than any other part of the political spectrum. Name another sexual proclivity that holds sex parades (aka pride parades)? That they don't include all sexual proclivities makes them both exclusive, sexist, and definitely in your face. That's one example. Whether it's sex, race, gender, or something else, the Left--again far more than the rest of the spectrum--forces it down your throat. That is a problem.

I have never accidentally gone to a Pride parade In fact I've only ever been to one once, back in like the early 90's when I lived in D.C., but it was a lot of fun. I do not think its forced on anyone, everyone is welcome to look the other way.

Now, I have had the Religious Right show up at my door and aggressively push for me to convert to Christianity. My kids get lured to Church events with promises of movies, free food and fun parties, at the end they push Christianity on them. I've never seen gays to such a thing. There is even a television channel on my local cable all about Christianity promoting joying up. Nobody has ever tried to push me into joining the Gay culture.

I actually have been to one-- ONE-- sex... err, pride, parade in San Francisco no less! That was back in the 80's (yes, San Fran had them then) and it was with several other sailors on active duty. We got pretty drunk first, and then laughed our asses off at the stupidity of that sex parade. It was more vulgar and base than the sex parades in the Philippines and Thailand where all the strip clubs, bars, and other sex venues turned out to advertise their 'wares.' At least there they kept their fucking (pun intended) clothes on...

So the only one you have ever been to or seen in person was intentional... I understand, but you have a problem with people doing this?

What about Mardi Gras, are you opposed to that? Should it be banned? I saw more naked people at Mardi Gras than I did at the gay pride parade.

I saw people fucking, and a girl giving head... I saw lots of nudity and was propositioned a few times at Mardi Gras.

We can't have different laws for different groups of people.

It simply wouldn't work.

But at the same time you do not need laws to govern all behaviour as the right seems to believe and push, especially the religious right.

A society can have and respect people who believe abortion is wrong and who won't avail themselves of it. But also others who think it is fine, within limits and who support it.

The only intolerant position is if either side tries to force the other to live to their view of it, simply because they think they have accrued enough power to force it.

Yup.

Been to Mardi Gras, unfortunately, more than once. Not my cup of tea either. New Orleans sucks as a city, and the French Quarter is-- nasty? It's like a square mile or two of nothing but dive bars.

What I'm saying is if you are going to celebrate sex, then celebrate it with equality. Pride parades only celebrate a select part of that spectrum to the exclusion of all else. At least at Mardi Gras nobody gives a shit if you're straight or not...

You are just a ridiculous and stupid human being.

It is a hallmark of the right to try and force the way they want to live on to others.

But you are right that people on the right think that if gay people want to have a parade, they believe that some how is forcing something on them. That is how distorted their view of being victims is when most of them will never be forced to see a gay pride parade or to support one.

Meanwhile Republicans are busy using the force of law trying to make those who do not agree with them, to follow their view on abortion and other areas of womens health care. To only read the books and history they want read. To try and tell people how they must exist (LBGTQ+). To try and limit people to voting in only the way they want to vote.

Once upon the time the Republican moto was 'government is the problem', meaning they wanted to keep gov't out of trying to dictate how people should live and keep them to restricted to other matters. Todays MagaTards see gov't as the ultimate tool and are trying to dictate almost every element of how others live their lives thru force of law. There is no such thing happening on the left to anywhere near the same degree.

You are welcome to have a hetro parade if you want. Should these parades be banned or not? If so, why? You keep dodging the question.

They always pretend its because those they are looking to change are "in your face". They arent but the get offended so easily they think its "in their face".

...

What I'm saying is if you are going to celebrate sex, then celebrate it with equality. ...
Why?

What you say above is so indicative of the right. You are telling others what to do based on what you want done.

What is wrong with gay people wanting to celebrate their own day with other gay people? Or more so, why do you think you or anyone else should be able to stop them or tell them what to do?

If you look at how the right is attacking Trans people right now you will understand how gays and blacks and other minorities were attacked in the past.

Being attacked like that can lead a minority group, especially in the early days of establishing their rights and freedoms to want a day where they can celebrate with one another. That day becomes a celebration that carries forward.

Why do you think you should be the one dictating to them how it should be done?

They always pretend its because those they are looking to change are "in your face". They arent but the get offended so easily they think its "in their face".

Yes.

If you look at all the forms of intolerance from religious zealots to fascist, they always use the same play book. As they literally try to use the force of law to make others do what they want them to, they then say you having freedom to do things you want, that they do not want to do, is forcing that on them.

The fact that the person likes child porn is not my issue with the child porn.

Viewing child pornography increases the likelihood of an individual committing child sexual abuse. And u dont have an issue with a person that likes it

People are domesticated, not unlike animals. By and large, they are a product of their environment. Luck of the draw, if you will, on where and when they are born.

Muslim? Catholic? Mormon? Hindu? Most likely where you were born.

Bill Gates came along at the right time and place and had the resources at his disposal to achieve what he did.

In the US, even the zip code in which one is born is an indicator of future success. Poverty begets poverty. Wealth begets wealth.

Born into a family or community of racists and bigots? Odds are that will propagate itself.

Did your upbringing include acceptance and tolerance? Then you’ll most likely be more inclusive of people different than you.

Call it domesticated or what you want its the way people are, I was born into a tolerant family (thank god), who knows what I'd be otherwise.
