If not America first then what should be first?

So another poster started a thread about Matt Romney's distaste for the term, "America first". Apparently Romney is "disoriented" by the phrase. I guess if you want to take him at his words that thats the reason for his disorientation then good for you. But my question is not about Romney and the causes of his being "disoriented" but rather if not America first, what should be first?

The GOP has a different meaning for the term, which is why he was laughing.
 
What does "America First" mean? Does it mean we shouldn't help Israel fight terrorists or Ukraine fight Russia until every domestic issue is resolved to every American's satisfaction?

america first means rejecting globalist doctrines. and the big multinational business side of the republican party is still dominated by romney / Haley style globalist, big business, anti-populist America laster never Trumpers.

more tariffs to protect at least key and vital industries.

some protectionism is absolutely justified. all countries do it except for us.

It means quite literally what it says. Put the interests of THIS nation and its citizens first. (E.g. -- Protect OUR OWN borders before attempting to protect the borders of foreign nations).

AMERICA LAST AGENDA: The illegal alien invasion continues unabated. Illegal aliens get shipped all around the nation to commit additional crimes beyond illegally entering a foreign nation (such as murder, rape, theft). Our nation's resources are further depleted, and our own citizens are left behind to suffer while these invaders get treated like royalty.

AMERICA FIRST AGENDA: The illegal alien invasion would be formally declared as an invasion and all illegal invaders would be rounded up and sent back to where they came from. Crime decreases, our nation directs its resources towards it's own citizens instead of illegals, etc.
