There's really no difference there. Both parties follow the Madison line that government should be controlled by the elite minority - hence the ridiculous tax system, wars with overwhelming public opposition, CU, deregulation and privatization, hegemony through the presses, elections with very little policy disclosure, tax cuts for the wealthy, disparity in public schools, so on.

We're talking ideologies, not parties. Problems within the GOP are limited to liberal views among many of its members, or attempts to appease liberals.

So do you. You know the collectivist movement has a rising influence within the PS, but the policies of the Democratic party - tax system, government sponsored theft, wars to increase trade stability, anti-tariff, subsidies, election funding, so on - protect the interests of the big guys? If the Democrats had any interests in the success of co-ops... think about the kind of country we'd live in.

Hey....I'm all for it....if you look back far enough in the archives, I created a thread based on a hypothetical scenario where a person starts a retail store similar to that of Walmart. No one in that shore would make more than $100k in base salary...not even the founder/owner. Floor workers would have a base salary about the same as what Walmart currently pays....but once.the bills get paid and a preset amount gets put aside for expansion/emergency funds, the profit gets spread equally from the Owner on down to the Custodian.

I got jumped on so bad by the radical right on here that I had to abandon the thread...and it wasn't constructive criticism it was hate filled bullshit. And that was just a hypothetical meant to prompt discussion.
