My hope for the future of the American Conservative Christian Church

Everyone is a zealot of some kind, you are a zealot for socialism.

No, I an an activist for the poor, as was your Jesus, you are Christian in name only and need to review Galations and the fruits a true Christian bears, none of which you ever display here, self righteous people are not true Christians.

This is one of the best quotes I have ever read regarding this topic:

“It's amazing to me how many people think that voting to have the government give poor people money is compassion. Helping poor and suffering people is compassion. Voting for our government to use guns to give money to help poor and suffering people is immoral self-righteous bullying laziness.

People need to be fed, medicated, educated, clothed, and sheltered, and if we're compassionate we'll help them, but you get no moral credit for forcing other people to do what you think is right. There is great joy in helping people, but no joy in doing it at gunpoint.

People try to argue that government isn't really force. You believe that? Try not paying your taxes. (This is only a thought experiment -- suggesting on CNN.com that someone not pay his or her taxes is probably a federal offense, and I'm a nut, but I'm not crazy.). When they come to get you for not paying your taxes, try not going to court. Guns will be drawn. Government is force -- literally, not figuratively.

I don't believe the majority always knows what's best for everyone. The fact that the majority thinks they have a way to get something good does not give them the right to use force on the minority that don't want to pay for it. If you have to use a gun, I don't believe you really know jack. Democracy without respect for individual rights sucks. It's just ganging up against the weird kid, and I'm always the weird kid.”

Oh I have tried, but as soon as it was found out I was conservative, and Christian, the hate fest began. You are right about one thing, sometimes I do not act like a christian I am not perfect, and my human emotions take over especially anger at ignorance, that's not an excuse it's just a fact. When the haters take a break from their hate filled godlessness I will certainly do better. So spare me your lecture.

One more thing coveting what others have is a sin, I love helping the poor, those who have had a tough go of it lately, just not the lazy, who continue to stick their hand out when they are capable of working. Holding out for management is not an excuse. Neither is I got pregnant before I finished school, suck it up many others have.

Jarod you can suck my big toe, coveting, and abortion is sinful, and since I do not have that plank in my eye, I will judge since you claim to be a believer.

I agree its sinful, but that does not mean I have to agree that the government should get involved and make it illegal.

Its kinda like your argument that the as a Christian you don't have to vote for the government to help people.

"you get no moral credit for forcing other people to do what you think is right."

"I don't believe the majority always knows what's best for everyone."

Nope, sorry, I will continue to point out your faux Christianity because you use it as a weapon against people.

Part of being a Christian is learning self control and not repeating the same sins.

I am sorry, this did not make sense.

Please show me the statistics on those lazy people who just stick out their hands, they do exist, but not o the extent that you claim, and their children should not suffer due to the faults of their parents.

[h=3]Hebrews 10:26[/h]English Standard Version (ESV)

[SUP]26 [/SUP]For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

I thought you were just an activist for insulting Christian posters.......

When they do stick out their hands they stick them out a bunch of times, and get a lot, my guess is she voted for Obama at least that many times.

Can you, and I ask this seriously, possibly fit your loathsome beliefs with the second chapter of Acts (verses in the 'fifties as I recollect), and if you can't what exactly makes you superior to the Church set up by Jesus, which shared and shared alike, giving to each according to need?

Do you read your Bible at all? You seem to hate the poor, blame them for their lot, you need to pray on this, especially at this time, especially today, a very powerful day for Christians. Maybe your god will soften your heart and give you guidance. I have a feeling you live paycheck to paycheck and could possibly be two paycheck away from being homeless yourself, you might want to think about that as well.

Your ugliness, of I recall correctly, began right out of the gate, you should also look at your own attitude towards others. Most posters on this forum love leaningright!, so your claim that everyone started in on you when they found out you were a Christian and a conservative needs to be reexamined, because no one treats leaningright with derision for his belief.

For you and IOLO,
2 Thessalonians 3:8-10

New International Version (NIV)

8 nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

Jesus didn't say this, go read Jesus words, not Paul's or do you follow Paul?

Plus, this verse is often misinterpret. What did Jesus instruct you to do for the poor?

Early Christians lived communally, they were socialist, they pooled their resources. This verse in Thelossians was chastising those Christians who quit working because they were waiting for the end of the world. This verse was not addressing the poor.

Christians take the text out of the times and it is most unfortunate when they do so.
