I personally like someone like Mark Cuban, Rick Carusso (in Los Angeles) a Mitt Romney - people with business backgrounds but have shown they can lead organizations and deliver results. People that aren't ideologues and haven't spent their much of their life in government (I'm not saying they can't or shouldn't have any gov't experience).

To me, change will come with leaders like that who can hopefully think outside our traditional (very) partisan gov't system and bring new insight and leadership skills. (That's just at the Presidential level. I'm aware weren't not going to get large numbers of people like that for most of Congress.)

It's also why I donated (the maximum) $500 to Gavin Newsom when he first ran for Mayor. From a local perspective he was a business owner and I thought that experience would pay off vs his opponent who was basically a lifer in gov't.
