No One Knows the Value of a College Degree Like Someone Without One

There is a major disconnect in the leftist brain that tends to associate 'book learning' with higher intelligence. Any issue that contradicts that is quashed by ignorance, as shown above by the PhD knucklehead.

too many times, in my industry, i've seen people get certified in certain areas of the IT field who are then hired over others who aren't, even though those others have a decade of experience in the field. The employers then act like the leftist and ignore the fact that now they have to provide on the job training to that certified individual...........said training then ends up falling to the non certified but highly experienced person.............

So, leftists think people should study physics in college. Is that a bad thing? Should we let doctors be self taught and not need medical school?

Having a degree suggests you have some discipline, follow the rules, and meet due dates. Those are good characteristics inside a company. It also shows a degree of intelligence. A degree opens the doors..

do you believe that it's impossible for someone to be an expert in physics unless they've gone to college? or that people can't know how to practice basic or intermediate medicine without going to med school?

so does serving in the armed forces.............or does that not compute for you?

almost anyone can complete a regurgitation education school...........that does not necessarily show a degree of intelligence.

Not until June 22, 1941. Before that the communists had a deal with the nazis. Then something happened that changed their minds ...

It’s an interesting fact that after it happened, Stalin expected the politburo to have him shot. But they missed their chance.

I learned this by not doing a college degree in history.

Something happened? Germany invading them helped to change their minds.

Then, with not enough yet on their plates, Germany declared war on us, too.
It must be awesome to have such a grand evaluation of oneself.

The fact remains that confusing fascism with communism is extreme and possibly willful ignorance.

I am impressed that you can divine Stalin's personal thoughts, however.

According to repeated analyses by economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a four-year degree generates an annual return of 14 percent over a 40-year career.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/04/26/college-degree-value-investment-return/

So basically you’re saying that’s average for a four year degree.
Assuming 1/2 are STEM degrees that would mean those with STEMs get an annual return of 28% while those with liberal arts get an annual return of 0% or even less when you factor in their default rate of student loans.

Statistics have not varied at all in decades about the earning potential of a degree vs a h.s. diploma/GED. Before Reagan began their destruction, unions helped to raise wages of non-degreed employees to a livable salary.

So there are two of the many things that (R)s disparage -- a college education and unions. Why is that, do you think?

And you know that somebody does not have a degree when they start telling you that college graduates have no common sense, just "book knowledge."
