It doesn't matter that it is a campaign stop Desh... when you try to shout down someone who is expressing their political views, you look foolish. But please, do encourage the left to continue such nonsense.

Side note: He may be giving the same message everywhere (which is indeed quite shocking that a political candidate would do such a thing)... but that does not mean those that came to hear him speak have heard his message. Many people enjoy hearing firsthand.... and tend to get pissed when idiots attempt to shout down a speaker.

The gays are not pushing their way of life on you. They just want the same benefits for their partnerships that the government gives me for my marriage. Its not about religion, its about benefits bestowed by the government. And they refuse to go back in the closet just because it makes uptight people uncomfortable.

And just as an FYI, it may make it easier for you to try and force your names on me. But it doesn't wash. I am straight. I am and honorably discharged veteran. I am a Libertarian. So, if Obama is giving the same message at each of his stops, it is ok to shout him down so that the people that came to hear him CAN'T???

The stupidity of that position is highlighted by the fact that you don't seem to understand that Presidential candidates DO TRY to stay on message and be consistent with it.

Side note: AGAIN, since you didn't get it the first time.... someone in OH who hasn't heard McCain may wish to do so, even if McCain has already given the same speech in another town/state.

Why did John McCain supporters drown out their candidate!?!?!?!

Furthermore, McCain's speech was given at very public, very open location with a lot of foot traffic and where a lot of people gather. Nothing gives him any special rights to have everyone else shut the hell up in such a location so that he can say what he wants to say. The fact that a presidential candidate decides to give a presentation in such a public venue doesn't mean the public that doesn't like him (this was Philly after all) have to grin and bear it.

If I stood up in Reading Terminal Market and started praising the Dallas Cowboys, the assembled masses would have every right to shout me down. John McCain is no different. If he doesn't want to face a hostile public he can do his events at closed locations or in friendlier territory.

What gives McCain a right to not have people speak out when hes at a campaign stop?

How in any stretch of the imagination can you equate that to the right to vote and have your vote counted?
