Tell you what... The Rocky Mountain states will take the plains states and TX. We'll also extend an invitation to AK.

We would have more than enough food, oil, nat gas and LAND. Not to mention the trading capabilities out of the gulf.

What exactly would the "new America" portion have to offer?

First of all, you make it very difficut to do banking from inside Dixieland to any outside banks.

Then you make the rule that the death of any retiree with no surviving relatives who are residents of Dixieland means the transfer of all assets to the public coffers.




Next you completely do away with income tax on senior citizens. But you place a tax on Bingo, Geritol, and Dr Shoal's shoes. It balances out in the long run and you make the seniors think they are getting out of paying taxes.

And, after the oil production is going, you double the price of oil every winter.




And lastly, you let the entire world know that you have passed a law that anyone working in geriatric medicine or in retirement homes is guaranteed to get a 15% raise for working in a bikini or thong. Retirees from all over the world will be flocking to Florida.

Also, Alabama would be part of Dixieland (we have GOT to find a better name), and so would share the revenues of Florida and Georgia.



Rather than Dixieland, how about Maubila? Gulfcoastia? Magnolialand?

Florida will be going with the Atlantic Alliance.
 
We here in Texas have already decided that we will annex New Mexico, Arizona, the Southeastern part of Nevada, and Louisiana.

Louisiana East of the mississippi gets flooded to prevent the encroachment of any liberal easterners.

No, Florida stays with the states in the southeast. That is where is sits geographically and culturally.

Nah, we in Gulfcoastia will keep New Orleans open as a city sized stripclub/brothel/partybar/gambling facility.

Between that, the oil money from drilling off the coast of Florida, and the money made off retirees, we Gulfcoastians will have a thriving economy.
 
Instead of dividing us up geographically, the NE, NW, and SE just need to repopulate the inferior parts of the country with better educated individuals without the Southern cultural heritage that's been fucking the country up for years. Neutron bombs would leave the infrastructure relatively in tact.

Also, I think you are overestimating the number of people who would go to much trouble to enter Texas.

South Florida and Alabama are about as far apart as you can get culturally.

But the bulk of Florida is unlike south Florida. Trying to claim the entire state simply because one small area is unlike the rest won't work.

Nope, you cannot lay claim to an entire state just because you want warm beaches.

The Bulk of Florida's population is in the Southern Region. Id say at least 50% of Florida's population is South Florida.
