Possible. There can be drawbacks to being king. I wouldn't want the responsibility. Lots of stress and worry. I'd rather work on my golf game.
But the country would be better off for it.

Not always though. Especially if you're king. Kings have more protections than most other traitors.
Personally, if given a choice, I think he would have preferred not to be beheaded.

King Charles should have done the same. Golf was well underway in Scotland by that time.
