A popular item of "birther" chatter in October 2009 concerned the discovery of an archived copy of a 27 June 2004 article from the web version of the Kenyan-based Sunday Standard newspaper. The article was a reproduction of an Associated Press (AP) wire story which dealt with the withdrawal of Republican candidate Jack Ryan from the race for a seat representing Illinois in the U.S. Senate, paving the way for the Democratic contender, Barack Obama, to win the election. Why this article was of particular interest to birthers was its lead-in sentence, which referred to Barack Obama as "Kenyan-born." Surely, claimed birthers, such an august news agency as the Associated Press would not have identified Barack Obama as "Kenyan-born" if they did not have ample evidence to support its use of that term.

However, the Associated Press made no such reference; the identification of Barack Obama as "Kenyan-born" was added to the Sunday Standard's version of the AP story by someone else (who misspelled the politician's given name as "Barrack" in the process) and is apparently unique to that publication. The full text of the "Jack Ryan Abandons Senate Bid" article as originally issued by the Associated Press is retrievable from the LexisNexis archive of global news sources, and it contains no reference (in the lead-in or elsewhere) to Barack Obama's being "Kenyan-born"

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Obama's been planning this coup since he was in his mother's wound. He reached over and forged his own birth certificate while cradled in his mother's hands, then flew to Hawaii from Indonesia on the red eye, crawled through the halls of the hospital and snuck the forged birth certificate into the hospital's records.

Ten years later he continued the ruse by flying his family to Indonesia and converted to Islam so he could eat some yummy puppy.

Ten more years later, he infiltrated the Harvard Dean's office, hacked the Commodore 64, and concocted a fake diploma.

What a master plan conceived since...well, since he was conceived!

Just so he could be elected President fifty years later and wait around for his second term AND STEAL YOUR GUNS!!!!!

I just post this stuff to see what people say, it really does entertain. I think it is funny stuff...

Most of it I get from a local radio dude who believes Barack was born in Hawaii but continues to believe he is "hiding something"... yet continues to have Corsi on and all the famous birther people.

Why does Obama spend so much money covering his background?

It's a simple question.

I'm not a birther, he's not a muslim, he's an American .. and he damn sure ain't (eb) no socialist. :0)

That being said, why does Obama spend so much money covering his background .. and if he's an academic genius .. why doesn't he tout his academic records instead of hiding them?

The point is, there is something about Obama that he's hiding.

Yes, he lived as Barry Soetoro while in Indonesia .. and yes, he worked for a CIA front before he entered Harvard.

The reason the questions have life is not just because of his race .. but rather because there is much that is unclear.

As for his academic record, I don't think anyone claims he is an academic genius. Going to Harvard does make one well-educated, as well as reasonably intelligent for getting in. As a professor of law, we can assume that he was good enough at his profession to take it to a higher level.

If you can point out where I'm made to "look like a fool" I'll be glad to entertain you with a shot of truth.

I'm not challenging his legitimacy or his citizenship. I'm pointing out some facts with an opinion.

Obama worked for Business International, a CIA front company. That may not be relevant to you .. and I respect that, but it is relevant to many, including myself.

Obama did indeed got to school in Indonesia as Barry Soetoro. That isn't myth, it's fact.

Again, my only point is that no one should rush to judge legitimate questions as racism. It does a disservice to actual racism.

So, in your opinion, what do you think it is that he wants buried? CIA connections?

Could the name change in Indonesia be his Mother's doing? I thought he lived there as a child and I don't know many children who change their own names. Is there something about his mother?

The name change was his mother's doing to get him in Indonesian schools. I'm not blaming Obama for that. I just think that he should be upfront and transparent about that truth.

I do believe that his CIA connections are behind why he hides in the dark. When I came upon this in his past before the '08 elections .. and his unwillingness to talk about it .. coupled with everything else I discovered about him .. the picture of who and what Obama is became clear. AND, virtually everything he's done since being elected has confirmed my suspicions.

Now to me, the CIA front is far more intriguing then the birther issue. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, had not heard of this before.
