Democrats pressured Biden to make that choice and step aside for the good of the party and country. After that 1st debate, it was clear that age was catching up w/ him - and it was also a given that he would not beat Trump.
And that's why the right is upset about it. They have an actual competitive race to deal with now, which wouldn't have been the case if Biden stayed in the race. And how is anyone except for MAGA served by that? A competitive race is better for the country.
