The FL stand-your-ground shooting. Why won't blacks obey parking laws?

Excellent National Review article on this. It hits the real meaning behind the Stand Your Ground Law and how gun owners and those who support CC should not support what this guy did. Essentially, if you're a man coming out of the store seeing someone yelling at your wife how might you react? Many would react like this guy did and that does mean you should lose your life. ""If a person shoves you, you can shove back. You don't have the right to kill him.""

And if a person yells at you yell back You don't shove them to the ground. The black thug escalated this from words to a physical fight. THINK

The black thug was NOT backing up. Please stop lying.

He wasn't until the gun was drawn, which is why I said that I don't fault the guy for drawing down on him. I wouldn't have faulted him if he held the gun on him until he got in the car and left. But when you fire on someone that is backing away, you might as well have shot him in the back.

Able-bodied people who park in handicapped zones should be harrassed. Blacks really are like little kids. They think they can do as they please.

If you harass ANYONE...you are starting a confrontation.

Of course that's a lot easier to do when you're carrying a gun...right?

Got a beef about someone parking where you think they don't belong? Call a fucking cop.

So the guy was probably another right wing coward afraid he might get the shit beat out of him, and was too cowardly to fight back. But hey, he had the "guts" to scream at the woman.

Looks to me as if he was smarter than the dumb black boy that only brought a knife to a gun fight. But hey, black folks can do whatever they want including parking where they don't belong and expect no one to say anything to them.

Test that out, and you'll more than likely find out that a jury of your peers can make that determination as well, which is what this guy should be up against. Because while I don't fault him for drawing his gun on the guy when he was on the ground and the guy was walking towards him, he was not in imminent danger when the guy started backing up. And we won't even get into what started all the nonsense to begin with.

The one defending himself isn't being charged.

I don't see anywhere in the law or in reality where you can make the determination if someone is in imminent danger. Are you saying you can get inside their head to do that?

It's easy to see what started it. An entitlement minded black got mad because someone dare something about him doing what the LAW says he's not supposed to do. You do know there are laws against parking in a handicap parking space unless you are authorized to do so?

is this your preferred M.O.???? to be able to push your might and weight around and the only one who should be able to stop you is the government? fuck that. I see you doing wrong, i'm going to confront you and tell you that you're doing wrong. got a problem with it? DON'T DO WRONG!!!!!!!!

So if someone started screaming at your wife you'd essentially be like "cool bro, no problem. Have at her."

That would make you a b*tch

I'm not OK with my wife parking in a handicap parking place. Are you OK with yours doing that? If you are, that would make both of you bitches.

You can't kill a person who is not threatening your life, well, except in Florida. But, you have to be able to think before you can understand that concept.

Sure you can. My state allows the use of deadly force if the one doing the shooting, not you, believes their life is in danger.

i dont believe stand your ground should have applied in this case

and that's me saying that.

at the same time, don't park in handicap spaces and practice violence on people, or you may end up dead. I don't really feel sorry about the situation. but the shooter in this case is lucky as fuck he wasn't charged. Don't know how he skated.

the zimmerman case however was a slam dunk and I am thankful everyday trayvon got what he rightfully deserved. July 13 was the anniversary of one of the happiest days of my life.

How is going by the law skating?

Actually, in my State, the law says, and I quote, " person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in another place where he has a right to be, including, but not limited to, his place of business, has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his ground and meet force with force, including deadly force, if he reasonably believes it is necessary to prevent death or great bodily injury to himself or another person or to prevent the commission of a violent crime".

There isn't but one person that can make the determination of whether or not he/she believes they are in danger. You can't do it for another person and neither can I.

The one defending himself isn't being charged.

The word "reasonably" in the law that you quoted ultimately means that the person who pulled the trigger will not be the final arbiter of whether or not the shooting was justified. In this case the sheriff decided that it was reasonable, based on the evidence, so he's not being charged. If they had decided to charge him then a jury would get to decide if it's reasonable. I support stand your ground laws, but I also support reviewing the evidence so that people don't get away with shooting someone without cause.

There you go again thinking you, someone that wasn't there, can make a determination better than someone that was there. If someone is attacking you, NO ONE else can determine whether or not your actions are reasonable. They weren't the one being attacked.

So you'd feel the same way if it was you or a loved one that got shot?

Another fucking liar, and coward, speaks out. Hey, if you got so many balls, and the will to kill all transgressors, find out where the gangs in your town hang out, and see how far your puny ass gets. BTW, your little White boy didn't confront the Black man, he confronted the woman, and the kids.
