The U.S. national debt exceeded $33 trillion for the first time ever

The government is $33 trillion in debt. Source: US Treasury

Really? Did the Treasury take into account the venture capital firms the CIA is running? Or the obvious Fed stake in Black Rock? Or the Office of Military Settlements?

You can show a $33T debt on paper but we're not in debt.

Why is it Democrats do not want to lower the debt.

1. Marxists want to destroy capitalism. They need everything to be "fair." The only way to do that is for everyone to be flat broke and miserable. They're not happy until you're not happy.
2. The DNC was taken over by Marxists.
3. The DNC is out to cripple the US economy and make everyone (but them) as poor and miserable as humanly possible.
4. The DNC seeks to grow the debt until it consumes the global climate and all the water in the ocean, thus enabling them to claim to have solved the Global Warming problem and sea level rise at the same time.

You make it sound like the GOP is impotent.
